I am completely jealous of the customer picking this up. The leds on that new back glass really make the colors pop! Fantastic work guys! One of my all time favorite pinball games!
Brilliant! I'm new to pins, but starting to really appreciate them. The V-pins are introducing me to these wonderful works of historical art, and I'd really like to get the chance to play the real pins, if I can ever find them. Really enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing.
I never played this game before until the emulated PS3 version, the one in your video is AWESOME! Those LEDs make that game look simply amazing. Considering the condition that game was in when you started, it's a amazing job you all did. I like this one far more than Black Hole, even if those right flippers are cheap with that ginormous gap.
Beautiful Haunted House restoration. Steven is an artist for sure. Do you have any of the NOS backglass left? Good to hear about the old Suburban Diner days.
So beautiful! I know this video is a bit old, but it's such a beauty I had to say how beautiful it is! It's you guys! Your fault I love Haunted House so much! Because you sold one to my uncle 20 years ago. ;) Hours and hours I'd play that Haunted House with my cousins. Such a great game. No DMD, no fancy gimmicks, no speech, just fun fun fun. The sound especially is phenomenal really draws you in. :) The little wail at the end after you drain your last ball still sends chills down my spine.
Growing up, my parents owned an ice-cream parlor, and In the back was an arcade room. There was a company that had an arrangement with my parents to supply the many popular games of the the 80s.... Pacman, Centipede, Space Invaders, Asteroids, Donkey Kong, and many many others. Haunted House was one of the pinball machines.... If I could choose any of the games from the 80s.... This was my Fav! Scored some very high scores. :) Someday I would like to have one. Thanks for the memories. Also, I like it better without the voice.
Todd, we have a Haunted House that we had fixed, but it is no longer working. We are in Maryland/Delaware area. Do you know of a reputable shop in our area that we could have fix our machine? Thanks so much.
I saw on one of your restorations in another customers video. The coin door inserts had 3 Skulls instead of the 25 cent labels, do you know where I can get those?
Hey hey! Great video. You mentioned placing in a 4893 in the lower play field, why? Only asking as I just scored a HH and that coil almost caught on fire as it was seized. Jordo
Yes...its a stronger coil and heeps it power. If coil burns out there is a problem with the electronics that power the coil or in some cases a stuck switch on relay that powers the coil with contacts fusing together. We always install new contacts
I noticed there are both red and green side buttons on the game. Are they both flipper button controls and are they tied together or does one only do the lower play field while the other one handles the main and upper fields?
Like the MUNSTERS intro one of my favorite 60s shows behind Green Acres :) I played a little bit of this through Zen Pinball HD on my tablet pretty fun game
First pinball, in the UK that needed 3 coins per credit. Great restoration work, the back glass really does pop with the colour..yes colour scheme. I have a question Todd. Several machines I played, I now realise, the trapdoor target was broken. What kept it up when not lit?..small coil or latch? Or something more ingenious? Waiting on high speed..
TNT Amusements Inc he does that even to games that aren't entirely my favourite. Pinball Arcade has this in steam/android.. eh think both offer different games plays and I'd rather play it real. one thing apps can't do. LAYERS!!
Ben Hove Labor was $1105 (painting, playfield work, etc), Parts (including LEDs) $431, Used Clean Logic Board $150, Plastic set $190, & Backglass $300. We charged just $80 for each round trip to his home (to pick up and bring back--about 50 minute trip each way)
Damon0306 That ticking sound is the sound of the relay that turns the lower playfield lights on and off while the game is in the "attract" mode. When the game is being played, the lights ONLY turn on when the ball drops below! When the clear glass is on, the sound is less apparent...and in a room with even low levels of sound, it is not anywhere near as noticeable!
Wasn't so sure about this game after trying it on ps4's Pinball Arcade, but after seeing it in real person, I think it looks pretty neat. Can't compare a video game to the real thing.
yourdreamin0 Maybe on the next one we sell..this was an overhaul and customer at the time didn;t want to add more expense...he can always add it down the road though!
hello todd new subscriber great job on hh!! just wondering another restore i seen on youtube had hh with the flipper buttons on the side were lighted. i think the top button green and bottom red. would that be extra if you did another on a restore on haunted house? thanks for the info and excellent videos on your fantastic work!! ...nvc
NVC1019 Hi! Glad to have you aboard! The lighted flipper buttons can be added if there is enough cabinet room, with standard LED.s. However,if they were to get to close to the playfield , then special buttons would have to be ordered.
I know a guy who has a Haunted House along with a Williams Space Mission and one that I couldn't figure out all sitting in a damp basement wasting away. Won't sell them.
What drives me crazy about this pin, is that I remember it so fondly from when I was a kid & always wanted one in my house, but now that I'm in my 40's and have the means to buy one for myself....I simply don't play this game very well at ALL! I've tried!!! *childhood ruined*
Yeah about a decade or so ago pinballs were cheaper $500 nobody wanted them and worse tended to store them outside!!! like dead cars. with weeds growing around the legs .. this is a selling point?? smh or if I were curt I'd point my finger to me head and pow. Whatever you do to a mold infested pinball game to what you have now MAGIC!!
TNT Amusements Inc about a decade ago I was on ebay looking for pinbot. shoulda grabbed one and stored it. many of them were outside :( was like watching Tommy O_O
