Welding galvanized isn't a big deal. Plenty of ventilation and wear a respirator. A half face 3M can be had a Lowe's for $30 with a set of P100 filters. The entire body of my jeep is galvanized. Truck is coming along nicely.
I just got the truck driving a couple weeks ago, messed around for 20 minutes and it was cool as a cucumber. But I haven't tested it more than that. And the only thing I can hear is that beautiful 460 with derby headers hahah
@@realtundratrash 👍 I am building my jeep with a new Golen "crate" stroker motor, Ax15 transmission etc.. I mounted my new fuel tank in the rear of the tub and want to mount the radiator in the back above it keeping it out of the engine bay..but it'll be about 24" from my head..I was just concerned about the decibel levels if it did work, that I wouldn't be going..ha..huh..did you say something..or if I could have a conversation if someone was in the passenger seat.. 😂🙉🙉🙉
@jeffreyrue4569 gotcha, sounds like a sweet project! My two recommendations would be make sure you buy fans with curved blades, they'll be quieter. And run a thermal switch in the coolant to control the fans so they aren't running 100% of the time. You could even run the 2 fans in a dual stage setup, only running the 2nd fan if it gets very warm. My fans aren't any louder than your motor will be so I think you'd be fine 👍🏻
@@realtundratrash oh.. that's just cold!! 😆😂😆 But I definitely appreciate the advice on the curved and the switches/inline thermostat sensor.. My days of really loud are behind me.. unfortunately..skull fractures and coma... Now leaves me with migraines and a severe PA for women (all idiots) who make lefts in front of me trying to send me to the emergency room..🤬😡😠🤬 But that's another story for another day.
