I did it! Car sounds amazing to tell you the truth. I wish I did UEL headers but the EL sounds very intoxicating to be quite honest with you. I'm very happy with how it turned out. I am going to delete the mid pipe(3rd cat and res), install universal cats and also install new headers up front for inspection. So far every thing seems to be going well. No complaints at all with this one. I got to find MTF fluid 75W 80 oil. Thanks for the video do you have this fine automobile still or did you get rid of her?

They have more soul then a Toyota Corolla in my opinion. I like the Outback Sports they are cool cars. I want a WRX wagon with a 2.0T H4 engine in it. That would be bad ass but I could probably pick up a Forester XT in a couple years for a cheaper price. I have always loved Honda Pilots with the 3.0L VTEC
Welding galvanized isn't a big deal. Plenty of ventilation and wear a respirator. A half face 3M can be had a Lowe's for $30 with a set of P100 filters. The entire body of my jeep is galvanized. Truck is coming along nicely.
Truck looks and sounds great! Yes I build my own “2 link” in the rear of my bronco for like $150 with 3/4” heims. With your Fab skills shouldn’t take you long. Solved axle wrap.
Watching this entire built tonight and loving it! One question though why did you want to go with hydraulic steering instead of traditional? Usually traditional is fine with 40s unless you are rock crawling.
Thanks man, it's been a fun build! I just released the test drive video last week. Basically my steering system was shot, there were broken teeth rattling around in the steering box, the pump was shot, and I had redneck welded the drag link and it was ugly! And with the 12 inch lift steering angles would have been a nightmare, especially with the ball joint dana 60 I have. So rather than deal with that full hydro seemed easier. Plus I wanted to try it out, I like to build crazy stuff. I put an electric steering booster out of a prius into a 4 wheeler once too haha..... Thanks for the question, it's a good one! Well I appreciate the interest, I ended up parting it out after I had an oiling failure and it ate the camshaft and the head. I didn't have the money at the time to fix it unfortunately. You should dig into my videos a bit, one of the projects on the back burner adding a 3rd wheel to a 2000 yz250 😁

I just got the truck driving a couple weeks ago, messed around for 20 minutes and it was cool as a cucumber. But I haven't tested it more than that. And the only thing I can hear is that beautiful 460 with derby headers hahah
@@realtundratrash 👍 I am building my jeep with a new Golen "crate" stroker motor, Ax15 transmission etc.. I mounted my new fuel tank in the rear of the tub and want to mount the radiator in the back above it keeping it out of the engine bay..but it'll be about 24" from my head..I was just concerned about the decibel levels if it did work, that I wouldn't be going..ha..huh..did you say something..or if I could have a conversation if someone was in the passenger seat.. 😂🙉🙉🙉
@jeffreyrue4569 gotcha, sounds like a sweet project! My two recommendations would be make sure you buy fans with curved blades, they'll be quieter. And run a thermal switch in the coolant to control the fans so they aren't running 100% of the time. You could even run the 2 fans in a dual stage setup, only running the 2nd fan if it gets very warm. My fans aren't any louder than your motor will be so I think you'd be fine 👍🏻

My days of really loud are behind me.. unfortunately..skull fractures and coma... No, the shifter on the t case doesn't allow it. ...... so I notched the t case adapter, and the cross member (that's why you can see the crossmemeber is hacked up) And the angles were horrible haha
I am leaving active duty service after nine years and wish to persue a carrer like this with local 426 South Dakota. What worries me is the three years it takes to process an application. Is there anything i should do to lign up a position with local 426 before i leave service?
I'd start by calling the hall, I believe there's a fast track option for military. If you're willing to move a little further north, 714 in Minot is where I'm working and they can have you in the program with a job in a couple days normally.
The brake hub is from a 83-85 atc200x which slides right on. I used a trx400ex rear brake caliper, bracket, and master cylinder (but honestly whatever you want to use). The electric power steering is out of a prius
I really do like the I don't give an F paint and body work, but you should know. (A) paint will flake off anywhere you did not sand. (B) Adding an automotive grade hardener to the paint will give it UV protection so the paint continues to shine for years instead of months. (C)Automotive grade Synthetic Enamel Hardener can be had at O'Reilly Auto Parts for $27, Wet Look Enamel Hardener cost about 40$. Either will dramatically increase how long your paint last. Getting 10 years instead of 1 year out of the paint is a good deal for 40 bucks.
I prepped the whole truck, that paint will stick just fine. And it's single stage tractor paint. It won't fade, it doesn't need hardener or clear coat or wax...... kinda the whole point of the video. Guess you missed that
@@realtundratrash That's cool, it's just the door jams and door panel did not appear to be sanded....Any road, most if not all Tractor Paint brands don't have anymore UV protection then standard Rustoleum. Rustoleum Top Side marine paint has some UV protection, but even it is not great compared to an automotive grade hardener. The main difference between automotive grade enamel and oil based enamels found in hardware stores is quality of ingredients, not the chemistry of the paint itself. Things like the pigments are coarser in cheap paints. Which is why people get almost as much orange peel spraying them as you did rolling the truck. Automotive paints get most their gloss, resilience and UV protection from the hardener not the paint.... In fact you can add Mar-Hyde Wet Look Hardener to your tractor paint and it would convert it into being a single stage urethane enamel as that Urethane Enamels are really just oil based enamels with a really high quality hardener....Oh and the hardeners sold to be used with Tractor paint are junk the Synthetic Enamel Hardener mentioned above is about the same price and vastly better quality.
It’s cool to see someone else do this. I have done several trucks this way, and absolutely love it! Surprisingly, I get a lot of compliments, even though it doesn’t look that good close up. Keep up the good work on the old truck!
