Watching this in June 2024 after the #RejectTheFinanceBill. It took over 10 years for us to gain the courage. Boni - As a Kenyan, we are grateful. Kenyans are now speaking Courage Fluently !!! Viva my friend !
I'm watching this today, the 23rd of June 2024 and for sure Boniface Mwangi has seen it all even to the future. Keep fighting bro, as small as it sounds we back you for change in this country!
That closing statement by Mugambi hits home. Fifty years from now when I am an old Mzee living out my sunset years,if I won't have joined the ancestors, I will have the satisfaction of seeing my grandkids and great grandkids learning through Softie of a courageous, virtuous man named Boniface Mwangi who gave his all for the country. And I'll be there to do a DJ Afro commentary on when he brought pigs for mpigs to parliament and when he fought for Langata road primary school ground and many more.
I am ashamed of myself for not having watched Softie. I can’t even recall hearing about it being in cinemas. I love that it focused on Njeri and the kids’ journey too. I remember watching Selma, and crying rivers the entire movie because I could not imagine what life was like for Coretta Scott as Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. engaged in the civil rights movement. Whenever Softie is available for us to watch again, I will definitely do it.
We can't access Softie-The film anywhere 😢... And that sucks.. Hopefully that will change soon. This interview is life changing for those who love Kenya.
So far I have really changed my view on 1.Activism 2.Bonface Mwangi & The Lies given to my grandparents which are now being feed to my kid by The GOK and myself.
Look Boniface, go the path Njugush has taken with TNT2. Yes you don't need the money but people are willing to pay , you can use the cash for PAWA . It's time you allow us to pour into you. Please reconsider and allow us to also give you props by buying your product. Will check out the book.
I really want to watch Softie now ..and if the media won't show us we can create a way by ourselves ...Bonnie if possible come up with something that will enable us Kenyan's to watch it aki
Ory okolloh is a flower among thorns, that lady is amazing. First encountered her at ushaidi Kenya, one of the pioneering locally made crowd sourcing app I've ever come across.
Look, I respect Bonnie but I respect Bonnie even more now. Also, CTA team, I literally listen to this in the background whilst working I forget to like all the videos all the time. But I'll keep reminding myself to watch and like each and everyone of them. How do we watch Bonnie's softie if you're not in Kenya. I've bought and read his book and bought it for my friend too. Powerful.
16:10 Is my punchline. Imagine i heard the name Field Marshal Baimungi Marete when i was 25 and i topped History classes. Kenyan history is a scam!! BM is already in our history books as the mordern day Mau Mau. The only wortwhile contribution a Kenyan can do today to ensure his struggle has not been in vain is to vote wisely.
I wish this movie can be showcased kwa mtaani like how the Facture back in the days the movies on lorries and we could sit on hours and watch. I think if this can be done and every slums has its own timings to watch the movie softie I guess somehow it can change the whole thinking of people because sisi kwa watu wa slums ndio the most who are affected sana like how Boni said during post election violence he got out of mathare and kuenda uptown watu wanacheka serios
Could Softie be made available to everyone else outside Kenya, UK and US, upload the film on a controlled and regulated streaming site that charges a fee to access! It’s been over a year now and I am still unable to access the film! Kinda disappointing!
Man! I misunderstood Bonnie and it was partly why I didn't prioritise watching Softie at the time. Bonnie and team, please find a way to air it, I will not waste another opportunity!
Unfairly judged Boniface for a very long while. I was caught in the negative spin that the powers that be had made him out to be; and for a pretty significant amount of time. Most times he was right about many things than he was wrong about them. All I see is a patriot doing patriotic things.
