Rakshit Shetty is a true spiritual person, he draws inspiration from Hindu mythology in every movie of his. Here also it is a referral to Dharmaya (Yudistir) whose dog goes to heaven along with him.
@@kreatorsparadise45 ok so I watched togo just now... Bhai uski to story kaafi alag direction mein gyi hai aur ye Charlie alag dono mein dogs hai aur emotions hai bs itna hi common hai stories to related nhi lg rhi
E.T story originally adaptation of The alien written by satyajit Roy. in 1982, Satyajit Ray was told about one filmmaker who may not have been most respectful towards his art. It was none other than multiple Oscar-winner, Steven Spielberg. After the release of Spielberg's blockbuster movie ET: The Extra Terrestrial, Ray had received a phone call from someone. It was legendary science fiction writer, Arthur C Clarke. He called up Ray after a screening of ET and told him of the similarities between it and Ray's script for The Alien. Ray was more heartbroken because he was in talks with producers in Hollywood to adapt his The Alien into a movie. However, due to one reason or the other, the project never took flight. Speaking to India Today Magazine in 1983 Ray had said, “You know at least two of the Spielberg-Lucas films, Close Encounters of the Third Kind and ET, would not have been possible without my script of The Alien being available throughout America in mimeographed copies. Some days back Arthur Clark telephoned me from London, saying that I should file a copyright case and should not take it lying down. But Steven denied the allegations, saying he was a high school student when The Alien script was being shared in Hollywood. However, Satyajit Ray did not blame the entire industry for it. "Other than this personal complaint, I have no quarrel against the makers of science and space fantasies. I think it’s a genre full of possibilities, though I also have a feeling that Spielberg and Lucas are unnecessarily complicating the stories. The story should be simple, clear, without frills.
Watch marley and me and turner and hooch (tom hanks one ) Makes me cry and want to hug my dog every time we watch them Looking forward to this one. Go regional cinema and give Bollywood and their 60 yrs old dancing actors run for their money
@@DineshC2 yes I have heard about these movies and I will watch them. Thanks But why bring Bollywood again into this conversation. It just gets annoying after a certain point
@@DineshC2 Why are Rajnikanth, Kamal hassan, Mohanlal still making movies then? Are you not gonna watch Regional cinema too because of those 60 year old actors??
It's related to mahabharata. Dharmaraj ( king) after his life will move to Himalaya seeking moksha. That is why the hero name is dharma and story takes place in Himalayas. It is journey of man realizing life lessons
Just a prediction- As Rakshit's character's name is Dharma and there is a line in the Trailer about kaliyug, Dharamraaj and his dog so Rakshit's character and his dog must take a journey to the mountains in which Dharma must die happily at the end just like Dharamraaj Yudhishthir did at the end of Mahabharat on his journey to the mountains with his dog.
Even i guess idea of this story was taken from "Svargarohana Parva" When pandavas went through meru mountain to reach heaven along with draupadi, they were escorted by a dog 🐕 all died one by one but atlast paraiah(stray dog) remained ,same time indra came in his chariot ,he praised extraordinary qualities of yudistira(dharmaraya) In that case, I do not seek heaven, “replied Yudhisthira. “the dog was my faithful companion and I cannot abandon it. It sought my help and gave me unconditional love. The pleasures of heaven will mean nothing to me in comparison to its grief. It has done nothing to deserve abandonment and had none of the weaknesses of my wife and brothers. If it does not deserve to go to heaven, then neither do I.” And so he turned back. Soo indra requested not to look back and said “None have the qualities that you possess, O Yudhisthira! The dog is Dharma, from whom you have descended!” And indeed, the dog had transformed into the God of Dharma and blessed Yudhisthira for his complete lack of selfishness and dedication to righteousness in all circumstances. And thus rose Yudhisthira to heaven in the chariot of Indra.
kannada film industry really knows how to deal with emotions that's what every good movie do ,movie induces the emotion of anger , happiness , frustation and everything
Last night i saw this movie with my wife..i cried and smiled the whole movie..the trailer doesnt justify how amazing this movie is..i want to share alot by i cant..even seeing the movie i was missing my four legged pal at home
"Tale of Dharmaraja in Kaliyug". Could be reference to Dharmaraya and His dog from Mahabharath. Dharmaraya declined Heaven because his dog was not allowed to come with him to heaven.
Do you know E.T. copied from book The Alien of Indian guy Satyajit Ray He was going make a feature film but his agent copyrighted to himself So he dropped the idea and canceled it went back to India And after some time the ET comes up Satyajit himself said these things on interview and many foreigners who have read the book supported him but nothing happens
Everytime I see a movie which hype the human-dog relationships and emotions, all I see is the hypocrisy of the people who think a cow, a goat or even a chicken doesn't deserve the same kind of love.
I agree that it is hypocritical that we value one life over another. But when it comes to emotions and relationships, even from an evolutionary stand point, the human-dog bond is much much deeper and complicated than the cow-human, goat-human bond.. other animals (in most cases) simply don't perceive humans like dogs do. Any animal could be man's best friend, but dogs are the ones that try their hardest to do so.
True. I hope people who claim themselves to be "Animal Lover" actually are. If the same relationship is shown between the cows - which are such innocent animals - and the farmers than people will call it a propaganda rather than displaying same compassion for an innocent animal. It's disgusting.
@@krishnasusanth624 Lol nope. It's cultural. Human-Dog relationship has most value in the west, similar to how cows or how elephants have special bond CULTURALLY in India and certain other places in the subcontinent. "Sacred" term also have human emotion and VALUES attached to it that you just don't see them as meat sacks, but life of equal value. It's just that you have been brainwashed to adopt western culture so you think only cats or dogs have them whereas in various places in the world people will eat them. Nothing wrong with adopting other cultural norms- specially if it helps in human evolution to become sensitive to other life forms - but you don't get to question or demonize Indian cultural bonds and judge it from western perspective and become a hypocrite. For a truly conscious person, both will be equally valuable.
@@krishnasusanth624 Its an irony that this has to come from a "Krishna". You really need to go see some human-cow relations in very traditional Indian villages.
@@Priya-cm3tr ma'am, I literally said that it's hypocritical that we would value one life over another. Why would I look at cows and think of them at meat sacks? And I am not demonizing Indian culture. I just pointed out that from a biological perspective, dogs view us differently than cows or goats. That doesn't make one's life more valuable or less valuable. If you'd stop being emotional for a moment and looked at it rationally, maybe you'd see the point that I'm trying to make..
We all have seen E.T in our childhood and Rohit Mehra and Priya Malhotra their love story was very cute. And then this E.E.T. (Extra Extraterrestrial in Blue) came and we call him Jaadooo .
I literally cried.. I had a dog too.. He was subjected to mercy killing in 1992.. It was before 30 years, still it hurts. That's the way we loved him and he loved us. 🥺🥺🥺
What a bgm , cinematic shorts , vfx , emotion 🔥🔥🔥 I'll going to watch this on first day. And this will be the another next movie from south industry which introduce indian cinema to the whole world . Wait for the new records🔥🔥
I teared up just while watching the trailer, reminded me so much of my dog that passed away 2 years ago, I'm pretty sure I'll cry a river in the theatre lol
I have watched trailer more than 20 times I think until now but when I watched with you guys it was like first time... the last scene tears were there in my eyes.... so connected

[Dont miss comments] I dont know how much inspiration E T movie has on this movie. But there is a strange kind of inspiration for the relation between Rakshith's character and the dog in the story is inspired by the actual "Dharmaraja" from Mahabharatha, who was giuded led to heavens by a dog(instead of a more respectable way like an angel or something), due to a sin he committed
Not guided. The dog went along with Yudhisthira on his journey to heaven. Along the way rest of the Pandavas gave up but Yudhishthira still went. When he reached the heavens, the Devas told him the dog was none other than Lord Indra. This was a test of his patience and he got rewarded by entering heaven.
Don't misquote stories if you don't know. Yudhishthira was not guided by the dog. It was one of his final tests actually. The dog accompanied him to heaven because he insisted that the dog be taken with him. The dog was apparently dharmaraja disquised as a dog.
Namskara guru🙏... Animals will give you unconditional love... Especially dogs n cats....I don't wanna call them as Dogs as God....!, they are the pure souls...If you feed them one time they love for life time... And that's true... No matter what I love My all pets who have left me... Puttu❤, Jimmy, Lucky, rama, dolly (dogs)... Micky,❤shivu, puttu,(cats)... Presently I'm having one cat..!.. I will see everyone in one soul...! ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ Charlie 777...❤❤❤
This movie seriously deserves everything. 🥹 Emotional, Funny, Sadness, Adventures. Everyone in India who watched this definitely feel different about dogs now and more will definitely adopt now. ❤️
I wonder how many people got the reference of "The Tale of Dharmaraj and Kaliyug"... I think the story is less of ET and more of Dharmaraja's final trial.
Reason why JOHN AB didn't collaborate or didn't approached would be , because recently JA in a interview said tat he won't make any role in films other than Bollywood which turned out be very controversial .
ET is in hindi too.. acted by Hrithik Roshan directed by his father Rajesh Roshan.. it's name is "koi mil Gaya" and it's sequel are krishh and krishh 3
When achara said: No i didn't. I obsessed with dog 🐕😍 That's how i felt the same literally 😍🥰❤ pure soul of this movie ❤😍🤩💖🙏thank you rakshith shetty 🙏💖😍❤🙌🥰
