If you look in the footwell to the left or right side...there are 2 wires...you connect these to a battery and wait ten minutes and the wire heats up and releases the bonding around the windscreen...found info in the factory manual and it worked on my 1978 lido.😊
Looks interesting. Fortunately, here in Australia, our climate’s a bit more benign and our cars don’t tend to rust as badly. We don’t salt our roads, even in Tasmania; ice isn’t prevalent enough to warrant it.
Just pulled a '79 Fiat X-1/9 from a leaky garage that was full of rats. It has a little less rust but am sure wiring is shot after being exposed to pack rats for years. Since it was so cold in the garage during windshield removal would it have helped you to put a heat gun on low to soften up the adhesive? Regards, John from Nebrarska.
