In this video we share our visit to Gujjuben also lovingly known as Dadi. At 78 she is a living example of how to face life with a smile. She has faced so many tragedies in her life but has never given up. Her grandson met with an accident and went into depression but it was Daadis indomitable spirit which made him come out of it and face life happily. Her hospitality is something we will cherish for ever.We have tried to include text in English wherever possible for the benefit of viewers who are not familiar with Hindi. However I firmly believe that true affection needs no language ! Please follow Dadi's RU-vid channel Gujjuben na Nasta #Gita'sKitchen#Lunchwith78yrDaadi
This is such a nice video. The Gujarati hospitality is the one to beat in our country. Many bash them however, having grown up in Bombay, I can tell you 3 great things about them 1] Traffic jam, he will get down and direct traffic instead of fighting 2] any celebration, he will come forward to help and participate 3] go to their house, they will offer you water and snacks the second you walk in. 4] they are entrepreneurial and will make uninhabitable places in other countries habitable. 5] They see you in airports or any other country, they will offer help. Gujaratis and Punjabis and Sikhs - they are honorable in these areas.
There is no boundary infact. Division only at particular political arena. My family has a tamil and assamese sis in law. Myself married to marwari and the best part is enjoy best of all culture.
I dont want boundaries to vanish , i want unity in diversity. I want that uniqueness of each one of us to be protected and at the same time we remain as one .
My dear Gita sister... Words cannot express how I felt watching this video and the interaction among you all. Happy tears started flowing seeing so much love and a meal prepared by Dadi with such ease and care to feed her guests..yes ' family '. Thank you so much for posting..and God bless all of us❤❤
Lovely video. Love dadis simplicity. No show off. Sitting on the floor and enjoying simple home cooked meal. Of course puries would be super tasty. No doubt. And I totally agree with her view on family staying together. Whenever I see big families enjoying together I actually get jealous my being a nuclear one. 😞Lucky r those who r blessed with a joint family.
Hello ma'am! In today's video you paid a visit to urmila dadh's home and spent quality time , had special lunch with them. It's heartening to know she is a fighter herself and faced many struggles and challenges👍🏻. Her hospitality and love for cooking at that age is simply amazing. Super.👏🏻👌🏻 Thank you ma'am 🙏🏻

Such a beautiful feeling watching this video. The sight feels so familiar. I remembered, how my mother and her mother talked to each other when she visited our home during my childhood. Food was prepared while talking about so many things, so much laughter, and affection. This video presents that same feeling. Also, before the dining tables came and the kitchen area was raised, almost all homes had this kind of setup. where the vegetables were chopped while sitting on the floor, cooked while sitting on a stool and we ate the food all sitting on the floor. Thank you for this wonderful video.
Such a heartwarming jugal-bandi of two stalwarts of traditional Indian culinary art in one memorable video. North meets South and the blend is so very Indian. Rombo nandri Geetha Akka for sharing such a wonderful video on your channel. Having been brought up in Coimbatore nourished with wholesome Tamil food by my mother, I have been a natural fan of yours. She married my Gujarati father, and soon learnt to excel in Gujarati fare as well. I don't comment on your videos much but have always admired you and your warmth in them, Geetha Akka. Likewise, I've also been a fan of Gujjuben na Nasta. Daadi's spirited demeanor inspite of her age is commendable, as is her hospitality and affection. The chemistry between you two is divine! This video therefore is something I'm going to cherish for ever. May God preserve you both for many more years in good health and cheer.
This is one of the best videos I have watched after a long time. Love you both Gita ji and Dadi ji. Both are amazing cooks in their own way. There's so much of inspiration and motivation to learn from you both.
