I give credit where it’s due! Thanks man, I’ve got a bronco that I plan to do one day. I have just have been swamped with other things the last year or so! Hopefully will get some more content out soon.
@@JohnnyAnderson1 yes buddy we’ve got the 4v in Australia, My truck being 79 it’s the 4v as well . Truck looks mad , those 78-79 Trucks are said by most even Chevy lovers as one of the coolest trucks ever !
I'm shocked at just how much those bullet mufflers quietened it down. I would've went with either Flowmaster Super 10s or Cherry Bomb Extremes. And ,hello fellow Tennesseean.
Your brake fluid (DOT3) will boil in their line when you sit at a light. Had the exact same fenderwell headers. Eventually went to regular headers to solve the issue. Header wrap starts rust so wrapping means you have to do it over again. If you hate exhaust leaks, go get a ball socket joint and replace any three bolt 'designed to leak' flanges.
Thanks! I don't, they change them up all the time and don't really have a actual number. The ones I use now are from summit racing part number FMR-12867-FM They work great and are pretty much the same price as the ebay ones, just from a more consistent and reputable source lol. I'll try and post the link below. www.summitracing.com/parts/fmr-12867-fm?rrec=true
@@JohnnyAnderson1 how high of a lift is the headers that go on the inside of the frame good or is over the frame better because I need to get new headers because the tires have smashed them up so I just don’t want to buy the same headers if the keep getting smashed
Part number 89360 from headman www.summitracing.com/parts/hed-89360?seid=srese1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwz8emBhDrARIsANNJjS7FvT_PNNysg8tbkm7AOHpGpQACCNKA3xP9Uivggg72YShGXzRleQIaAmmCEALw_wcB
It was actually bought new in the 90s by the man’s dad that owns this truck. He had a 1986 f150 that it used to be in, and we just transferred it to this truck.
@@robertfogarty3253 if it’s got good compression and not smoking I wouldn’t mess with a rebuild, the 351m/400m are know for lasting a very very long time. A set of aluminum heads, cam and a 4 barrel intake would certainly wake it up.
Steven Wineinger 351m Thanks it is actually one of the best sounding old fords I’ve heard. The video doesn’t do it justice, it sounds like a 800hp engine above 3000rpm .... if only it was lol
@@JohnnyAnderson1 I'm having my 400 built a little. Boring 30 to 40 over, throwing a cam in it, full length headers, and a 4bbl intake and carb. Thinking about 3" straight pipes.
