I've 7Artisan 25/1.8 and TTArtisan 35/1.4 both lenses are nice :) I still consider to buy 7Artisan 35/0.95 :) Thank you for this video.

Thanks for taking the walk in the rain for us viewers (and putting the whole video together). Generally it is said that a 50 mm view corresponds most to what our eyes see. I personally think our view (or at least my) it is more like a 70 mm lens.

Peter, I just got a used OMD EM10Mii, came with 12-42 and 45 to 150 for great price. Am learning to use it, I love the size. It complements the E-PL1 I got used for almost nothing a few years ago, and they use the same battery! Both fit in a nice small camera bag. I also have 2@ GX85s, a G7 and a G95 along with a few assorted nice lenses. I like both systems and much lighter than my Nikon APS-C and Full Frame models.

Nice video. It looks like a great little lens to have some fun with. I bought the Meike 35mm 1.4 for my "walk around and have fun" lens. It does the job well. Had I known about this lens, I probably would've gone for the extra stop.

I've seen a few reviews of 7Artisan 35mm F0.95, all saying this is a sharp lens. I ordered one for myself for $235 MFT. I tested it for 2weeks & I never saw the sharpness reviewers are seeing. Also the CA & Bokeh are pretty bad on the copy I got...I think they don't make these lens uniformly as the copy I tested was pretty bad. I returned it last week & bought the TTArtisan 35mm F1.4 - for $70 instead. Now this is a great all around lens, cleaner bokeh, a more controlled CA, flaring & is way sharper.

Bokquet is not everything but Tony is. Great video $239 that is low enough to get

Just a thought: For the picture comparisons it would be great if we could see the images in full size on something like google photos, that way we could zoom in and look at the sharpness and bokeh etc more closely, and also in higher quality than RU-vid. Sorry if anyone's asked this already, thanks for the great videos!

I like 35mm for portraits. For "talking heads" videos that I sometimes do, I looked for something like this and got the 7Artisans 1.2/35mm - which is too soft wide open. The Pergear 1.6/35mm is better, but using these, I learned that the depth of field is already to shallow for people to move on their chair. So I need AF! Today I use the Sigma 1.4/30mm, which comes close and is really good, but I wish for Olympus to make a 1.4/35mm Pro lens like the great 1.2/45mm... I don't need f/0.95 on a tele lens.

Kinda reminds me of the M. Zuiko lenses for the OM-1, with the aperture ring on the end of the lens. Now if Olympus would just move the shutter speed adjustment to the lens mount....

Thanks for an informative video Peter. I'm surprised you didn't add captions on the photos as to the f/no you shot each frame. But it's a worthy video in any case.

Eh, I don't know.. I have the 25mm and the 12mm for EOS-M, they are priced well, but not too exciting. On the f/0.95's, Voightlander is king, I have the 10.5mm.............Thanks to you and your videos, I went with another Olympus, OM, the fisheye, 16mm f/3.5, can't wait til it arrives...Great work, Peter !!

Hi Peter interesting lens, I have the 60mm macro from them and found out quite good and versatile in use. To come back to this one, it would be very interesting to compare it with a 25mm or 30mm from OM-D or Sigma for instance, not only the aperture obviously but bokeh and sharpness to see how they compare all together. For instance I use 25 and 45 premium for the portrait at 1.8 would I see an interest to use this 30mm? Thanks for your answer 👍

7artisan has a cheaper 35mm lens, the 35/1.2. The look of it is a kind of old school, and I would love it for a Fuji camera, but it's too narrow for m43. Well, for the price, it might suit my Pen-F.

Does the 35mm 7 Artisans lens fit the new OMD-E10 Mark IV?

Please HELP. Hello Peter, I have been an Olympus user 46 years (I purchased my first OM-1 in 1975) and recently upgraded from my E-620 to an M-10 MKIV after seeing your review on your channel. Here is my problem. I purchased an MMF-3 adapter so that I could use my Olympus 4/3 lenses with my M-10 but the auto focus won’t function when using the MMF-3. The camera switches to MF as soon as the MMF-3 is attached. Auto focus works perfectly with my m4/3 lenses. Am I using the wrong settings or is auto focus incompatible with the MMF-3 and M-10 combination? I am interested in your thoughts. Thank you for your consideration, Dale

I am a little slow to understand some of the mechanics involved with a manual focus lens. So with this lens, if you place it on any Olympus body, will the auto exposure work as it does with any Olympus lens?
