Thoroughly enjoyed the review, Akros! I’ve been enjoying my Rosefinch for the past few months. The basshead in me digs it in its stock version. 😂 Thank you for your passionate takes.
I join you Akros in wishing anyone with the fatfreq mini well, good for them,l'm happy for them too.😂They almost made me feel weird for not having it,like the next best thing after slice bread.😂 Nice one! Thanks.
Thank you for mentioning the similarities between SiE and Serial. Now I know exactly what I'm going to buy. SiE! Any driver flex or condensation issue on them?
I've been waiting for this video! Thanks for giving your thoughts. At this point I've heard too many negative opinions about the Legato to buy it. Also very cool to hear your controversial opinion about the Mini Maestro 😂 I've learned about some new IEMs that I hadn't heard before, now I can look into those. Are there any other sets that do the mega bass that you think BEAT the Legato and Mini Maestro? Perhaps something in the more expensive price ranges?
@@akros9333 hi Akros i need some advice . i love heavy bass and i also have the skullcandy crusher evo which i love . should i buy the legato or the hm20 for the heavy bass? please advice.
@@amoghjaiswal7d2 well I see you really like Alot of bass .....I would probably say go for the Legato.....but don't forget it will come with a price, which is less detail to go along with that bass. HM 20 is more balanced by far.
@@akros9333 does the detail loss on legato spoil the song? I mean the loss is more than acceptable limits? If yes then il go for the hm20 if the bass on it is amazing and details are crisp. One skull vibrating headphone is sufficient. I don't wana lose the quality which is why I got into iem as preferred to regular earphones
I appreciate your reviews and that you try to be truthful to what you like despite the price. In that regard the little KBear Rosefinch is quite a surprise. I really like it, and have the Legato to compare. The Legato does suit certain moods, its great for lazy jazz, chillout, downtempo - I do like it's overall quality. Now I'm interested in getting the HM20, that extra presence would allow for a more vivid and holographic presentation, especially when used with spatial dsp.
you know when said they are bringing speaker type sound in iems for the first time, i expected the bass to have that subwoofer vent airflow sound. it oddly satisfies me
I really enjoyed de review! It was like a lesson! I still struggle that sometimes more budget doesn't mean better, HM20 and the Rosefinch mod look really interesting
Great review! I am hunting for something to replace my RHA T20 and I love my electronic, EDM,Trip Hop, Rock and Indie. You have got me looking at the Penon Serial. Anything else your would recommend?
I enjoy my Maestro minis quite a bit. Using an iFi Gryphon as my DAC/Amp, especially with XBass enabled, they deliver a rich, thundering, skull-rattling (literally), immersive, and yet reasonably controlled bass, while presenting details fairly well, albeit with an intimate stage and admittedly some grain in the upper mids on tracks that are mixed with an emphasis in that region. A-B testing them with my Yanyin Canon set to 000, they traded blows, to put it in your terms. Although the overall experience is wider and more dynamic on the Canons, with more air and upper detail, that's not always better, such as when you just want some warm, relaxing music while working (use case matters). Also, the minis need a lot more power to drive them at the same level as the Canons, so that's worth considering.
Your mic is very thin and coming from my right side way more, not nice to listen too, please edit video with timestamps, 45mins for chat on an IEM :/ There is no way the crappy Rosefinch has better sound/bass etc lol, i dont know what you guys are smoking today 🤣✌
What amp were you using with the maestro mini? Mine sounds so much better than those other iems in this video. It almost seems silly to compare them to it. Only problem I have with the mini is that my portable amps can’t drive it properly. It’s a completely different headphone on desktop amps. Just my opinion of course. Lol
I liked 7hz legato for my daily use (i am a basshead), does it make any sense in buying fatfreq maestro mini? or any other suggestion, "i am new into iems" please help, iems with good sub bass and mids.
hi , how is the bass on the legato? thumpy ,vibrating woofer kind? does it make the instruments and the vocals sound below average? do you use any DAC on it? i love heavy bass and i already have a skullcandy crusher evo headphone which vibrates the head with bass. i hope you can answer as im thinking about purchasing a bass heavy iem . @akros9333 please advice if i should go for legato or hm20 ?
@@amoghjaiswal7d2 After using it for few days Legato started sounding different, i think burning-in works for legato, Bass is thumpy vibrating woofer kind, yes it is!. Vocals and instrument clarity is there but not as detailed on my KZ ZSX(its harsh on treble nd clarity though), Legato is smooth i like legato more its just perfect for me, On cellphone it sounds great, but on PC with my "SoundBlaster ae5 plus sound card" it goes on whole another level.
I totally agree on the Legato. Tried it out and sent it back. Way too much bass for me. I will watch your review on the SiE next. Great job on this review. It just wasn’t for me. Don’t think I would like the Zeos Rinko either, not even going there. I might check out the HM20 though. Once again, great review!
I love your channel. Have watched many of your videos many times. I love learning all the things! I tried to get my brother watch but he does not have the love of learning like I do. I've got the Rosefinch and love love the BIG bass. I wanted to listen to it for a bit before I went for a mod. After listening to the DQ6s, Not enough bass for me but the mids and highs sounded so good, realized I am missing that openness in the Rosefinch. Eq'ing has helped but I still need to learn how to eq properly. I just poke around on an eq and stop when I like the sound. LOL. It's fun until I get obsessed, so I need to learn the actual right way. I was looking for your email because you said you would post it for info on the mod, I didn't see it. I will look for you on Facebook! thanks for all you give us! Not only have I learned a lot but I've started reading charts and playing around comparing 100's of IEMS. I'm getting the EDA trio next, I think they will be a good tool as I learn what sounds I like or don't.
