Did 7 Para RHA as REME attached Hat and although got ragged to death Phys wise, was one of the best postings I did in 24Years service, no army bullshit, just get the job done attitude from the CO down. 2004 -2007

I spent 14 years at 7, my Dad and Brother also both served in 7. Had a great time and made friends for life. We fired the first rounds of the Iraq war.

Good video. Thought you could only do 4/73 if you were a trained soldier with a couple of years service. Was with 7 RHA in 2009 in Colchester, Wales then Kenya. Got smashed on the phys 😢. Good bunch of guys. Gun bunny 286, 100 regt RA TA

Thanks mate I believe I was on that same Kenya exercise within the FST’s. Think Kenya was around April 2009. Anyone can apply for 4/73 straight from civvies street. I have done a video on them you’ll find it on my channel

Now I am officially confused... I thought Kings Troop was the only remaining job role in RHA. I thought RHA was a mostly ceremonial regiment of the Royal Artillery??????? Could someone explain please?

All Remaining RHA batteries are amalgated into the royal Regiment of Artillery from A to Z unless disbanded.. 93 or 94 I met her majesty celebrating 200 years of the Royal horse Artillery and all Remaining batteries were there P K And Q battery from 5 heavy as I was in Shiny K I also met back up with lads I was in juniors with and lads I went to 7 with one had passed and was badged the other had been given his maroon and that's why 7 are hated

Outrageous, hoping that the P Troop is in reference to the original P Troop Air Defence that was in 7th back in the Day of Lille Barracks Aldershot. It was the only unit within the regiment that was 100% Airborne. No one could be in the Troop unless they had passed P Company and had their Wings. It was a very chilled unit unfortunately some idiot at the MOD moved them off to another Regiment. Still the Batteries were okay I, F, G. It was known for it's Rugby back in the day. Some corrections. RHA do not have Gun Parks. They are called the Stables.

I've a Walt ragging me because I've told of how during the 90s you'd be flung a marroon Berry after a couple of attempts of P-coy for me it wasn't so chilled but hey ho I went with 2 lads from training then met up again when at Woolwich celebrating 200 years of RHA I was then in K bty 5 reg .. Hursthouse and Saunders .. The smallest officer i ever met ran the rugby. I got a chance to play for 7, but Walt, in the comments above, won't be having it 🤣🤣🤣 During the 200yr celebration I met her majesty The Queen.

@@TheEddiePing Maroon berets were handed out during my time at 7th because some Hat Brigade commander after Jeeps thought it a good idea to allow anyone to wear one in the Brigade. If you were in 7th's Rugby team good on you.

Mate 7 is a great choice and a great regiment but also 29 and 4/73 can be great as well depending on what you want to do. I can’t say for sure the engineers but being a specialist unit I reckon you will get it as long as you pass the commando course which they will prepare you for

They sure do. When you jump into the same DZ just watch out for the heavy drop coming in! If one of the chutes doesn’t open properly it can cause a big hole in the ground and a flat vehicle and gun, not to mention any individual underneath. Rocking Horse is a great unit, just the Ruperts are a bit ….. cheers mate Harera

Do they still call you penguins ??? Fucking hated by every Airborne battalion especially when it was 5 Airborne brigade... the reason if you didn't pass P coy you'd get a berret just to be badged and keep the numbers up.. I went lille Barracks Aldershot back in 92 after joining Junior leaders Regiment in 91 was fit as a fiddle we had extra pt in juniors especially for 29 and 7 lads.. I fucked 7 off before P-coy was in X troop and sick of the attitude even lads that hadn't passed P-coy would call the lads in X troop hats.. I played Rugby for 7 and would get spat at for taking a lad off the pitch.. I told the Air Adj I wanted to go back to my second choice reg as they all had an attitude problem..

Someone’s jealous because he did have the physical and mental robustness to pass p company!!! How are they hated ??? They support Airborne regiments !!! They love us when we call in the artillery and win the battle!!! Even at least one of the p company staff is 7 para !!! Don’t hate because you couldn’t hack a airborne regiment

@blahblah6968 did you actually read the comments I guess I was in way before you and I can assure you one 3rd of 7 were crap hats who didn't pass p-coy fact so would be given the lid so what else you got to say 😉 as for mental robustness and physical stamina how would you know I'd done 1 years training at junior leaders not your 11 weeks at Woolwich with extra PT with 7 and 29 staff was in X troop 3 months and never dipped a single CFT which were fortnightly and beasted every day in the gym ..
