Books along the window ledge is silly. Make it that window-seat you wanted it to be by 'beefing up' the ledge. I used an IKEA floating wall shelf, notched and cut it to fit perfectly into the original window frame.
I just got some little jars for my herbs from wilko, and layered shelves from tkmaxx, and im so happy to be able to see whats inside, so i can order more in due time. I can also see all my herbs. What a chaos it was before to find the herb i want
I could do without those wicker baskets in the kitchen, dislike them to a max. I would rather have some clear or semi clear bins from ikea that are washable.
I don't put cutlery in jars or pots, I am paranoid cockroaches or some other nasty individual insect is having a party in there. The same goes with toothbrushes.
