this is one of the most impressive all around songs i've ever seen, with each member of the band giving an incredible performance. obviously mark is absolutely shredding and myles' voice is unmatched and incredible, but scott and brian are on the top of their game as well and are obviously supremely talented musicians as well
I can't understand one thing. Why this band isn't popular all over world?I'm listening alterbridge tons of time in day.Every song makes me listen them more and more.I bet everyone who listen AB first time will listem them forever. Unbeliveable band, their music goes deep inside.
Though I don't like this version because of the speed, it amazes me the HUGE ability from Mark playing that alternate picking riff perfectly (which is difficult to play even at the regular speed).
too long have a been searching for a briliant band that could perform live perfectly, too long i have been listening to the wrong music. I finally found the place where i belong. Thank you very much, Alter Bridge
Every time i listen this song my humor and self steem grows!! Their emotions go trought the lyrics. i think that's why i felt like that! Why i cant stop to do Air drums / Air guitar? hahahaha!
Got this DVD for Christmas yeaars ago now. This christmas is a lil different but still remember waking up so fucking excited to watch it. Even got an xbox 360 that year and all i wanted to do was watch this performance on it haha. Better times man. Big love Alter Bridge.
for everyone complaining about the sound problems you clearly do not have experience with live sound. In order to fill an arena you must raise the volume. When volume goes up the tone goes down. You loose certain aspects of your tone.
Matt Marek yeah that's true. I saw Kansas live at a little theater in fort Wayne Indiana a few months ago and the sound was great. So many instruments mixed so well, you could hear everything great and since it was a smaller pavilion they didn't have to dial the volume up to where it was like this
@@RG049 yeah I am! Oof. That’s hard tho. They’ve both rock n roll to me, but they’re different by almost every metric. Haha. Alter Bridge is one of the few more modern rock bands I’ve listened to a ton. I draw more from Alter Bridge in my playing (I’m a drummer), but I’ve been influenced by Kansas some too. I’ll say this. Myles Keneddy is one of my favorite vocalists so I love Alter Bridge. And. No one else sounds like Kansas. Their individual musicianship and the orchestration of so much of their music just hits me hard. Like I said already, seeing them live was pretty epic. Still my favorite prog band. Anyway. Two bands I love. Both great in their own sub-genre of rock. How about you? You’re a fan of both bands?
it scares me how good mark tremonti is, and myles voice makes me wish i stook with singing lessons, i used to be able to sing almost as high as he can, but that time is gone
I love Alter Bridge because it is a type of rock that you can blast through a broken speaker and it still sounds awesome. They are wonderful songwriters and i look forward to a new album in the near future :D
its weird to think about how mark went form being the rythm guitarist with a few basic solos in creed. to an unbelieveable soloist in Alter Bridge. He's living proof that if you work hard enough and dont give up on something you love to do you can be the very best at it
@calumcan this is Ian in this video. he's their regular tech. he was out with Slash's solo band in the US for a bit before he broke his arm and had to miss the rest of that tour and the AB European tour. I remember hearing that it was Myles' choice to not play guitar on this song, but Mark likes having the support for his solo, so the tech gets to play. lol.
@steveninthematrix I think it's because they would like to give him that moment on stage with the band as a thank you for his hard work during the tour. When I saw them twice in 2008 Ian Keith was on stage for 5 minutes before Alter Bridge came out to test the guitars and make sure they were in tune. He played a few solo's and the crowd cheered haha, I bet he loves doing that job, He's the guitar tech.
okay, myles is an awesome singer, Mark is a god on the guitar, Scott is one of the best drummers of he decade, and Brian is a natural talent on the base-guitar. Alter Bridge = the next kings of rock 'n' roll. they make me wonder: "who's Elvis"
My band will be covering this song this weekend. It took me about 20 hours of practice time to get it down on guitar, and I'm still trying to perfect it. Awesome tune.
almost all the songs at this concert had a high speed.. faster than the recording version.. if only they use the regular speed Y_Y i love alter bridge so much
@mwells2683 no. that's Myles' and Brian's guitar tech Ian. Myles even introduces him as he walks off stage after the song. he plays it with them every time they play it live since this show (except when he wasn't on tour with them last fall as he was recovering from an injury he sustained on Slash's tour).
