What surprised me the most was being able to spend more time with your parents siblings. My parents are still around and healthy. And it’s a blessing to have them be healthy and active. Relationships with siblings is so underrated. We love spending time with my sisters. There’s this sense of having “little” time when we do hang out, because the kids have school the next day. Thank you for sharing about your personal experiences and for being bold about doing things differently.❤️

I saw the Northern lights In Canada… we were living in North Dakota at the time. So we went north just to go see them. So awesome, I will never forget it. 😊

NEW VIEWER HERE!! You guys are inspirational. I retired early at 50 two years ago and would love to do what you are doing. My wife and I are not empty nesters yet. We are looking at about 6 years before the kids will be on their own. Then we can wrap up stuff at home and start our journey. It's amazing hearing some of your stories about being home in the big house , three cars, the expense 8k a month sound just like us. While we are all blessed with first world problems the trade off is not spending your time doing what you want. I think my wife and I are definitely going to trade our STUFF for a more relaxing life of memories hopefully as you guys are doing. I was able to chase lights early season in Alberta and Nunavut. It took about 2 months and I saw them about 10 times. It was absolutely amazing! 🎉🤙

I can agree with you that the life you are enjoying is stress free, (helps with good health and well being), gives you an exposure to other culture and the world outside of your domain, and the ability to slow travel around the world. The key here to make it happen, is one's willingness to adjust to the new surroundings and accept it and learn to embrace it and enjoy. Happy travels!!!

Spending more time with family surprised me!! That is awesome and makes sense. We are living stationary in a fifth wheel now but still an hr away from family. If we were living in hotels we could see them more. Also my husband is still working 7-4 mon-fri with two weeks vacation a year. So my first goal is building our passive income so he can retire early. He is 55 and I just turned 60. I stopped working during Covid and did not go back. My husband works remotely from our campsite lol

I agree too. That’s why we sold our house and moved to living in parks. Everyone is out more being social. Right now we are living close to mt hood in oregon. So beautiful! We want to travel more but not hauling our fifth wheel lol

You’ve got me dreaming guys! I actually now how the amtrack credit card that you recommended. I use it as my everyday card so I can build up my reward points. They started me on 30,000 and I now have almost 40. I’m hoping to take some short trips in the future. Any recommendations for a trip outside of NY that are shot but nice to see? (Unfortunately I can’t be away from home for more than two/three days. Also, have they brought bank any traditional dining to the east coast yet? Thanks much❤
