Hi, remember when Admiral Oliver was Subgroup 5 onboard USS Dixon in San Diego. Heard many stories about him. Most significant one was: You couldn't get around him; too smart for that. You had to go through him. And if you did, you better be right. My view was he was by the book but was open minded. Got something to say, say it. If it makes us better, I'll make it happen. Very straightforward and progressive. Another great Admiral.
