"He got stuff done." There is no doubt that he had thick skin. Mr. Rickover knew the technology and handled the politics in a way that few could. To hear Jimmy Carter talk about Rickover is a testimony of how influential the man was. For those of us who served in the nuclear navy, it was a great foundation for a lifelong career, even after separation from the service. I appreciate this presentation as it covered Rickover the man. Personally, I was shocked at how he was treated by the navy. On the other hand, I was thankful that congress kept his career on track and funded the undertaking. Great video, and I expect to read the book soon. Thank You.
This was a brilliant, truly inspirational interview! I loved it. Men like Admiral Rickover truly inspire me: perseverance, discipline, and dedication to purpose!
I have always admired Adm. Rickover when I was a teenager. I will be be 70 in December if the Lord lets me see it; I still am an ardent admirer of the Admiral!!!!!
