Detecting some inspiration from the Koscis orchestration here which is really cool! Love the way you’ve put the work into 8-bit!

I've been coy about it for copyright reasons, but yes, this (and the fugue) is entirely based on the Kocsis orchestration, or what I could reverse-engineer out of the recording without a score.

You're right, Zoltán Kocsis (whose orchestral completion of Tombeau this video is based on) was also a great orchestrator.
