Even better than having to play against hackers now you have to play against Ubisoft to actually get into a fucking match! (At least on console)

After years of playing siege I’m still unsure why people cheat and think it’s fun

Last weeks playing on console have been a mess, during one of my matches one of my friends got removed from the match by a server error and then was replaced by a random player after the match started, and the rest of them have been continuous server errors and bans afterwards

haven't really gotten into siege since year two: watching this games weird spiral into esport-based gameplay but still having nonstop cheating issues has been really entertaining

That bit at 21:19 really hit home for me. I played Siege hard for a few years, and I only ever played casual, and I wasn't anything amazing at it. But like you said, I was having fun with it. Until it got so bad from a technical standpoint that I was no longer having fun. I can generally have fun in a game even if I'm bad at it, in part because it makes it even more awesome when I actually do WELL.

We had something very strange happen last night during ranked. My buddy crashed and he got replaced within like a minute ive never ever seen someone join an ongoing ranked match till yesterday my buddy also got banned for it so epic season we have

21:20 I've been playing since Operation Skull Rain. I stayed away from ranked (due to rank anxiety since I was doing only solo) for a really long time (2 years or so) back in the days, opting for casual play and enjoying myself. With Wind Bastion, I decided to check where my placement matches would take me. If I got a low gold placement, I just wouldn't risk deranking to Silver so I'd stop playing. If I got high silver, I'd play enough to get into low gold then stop playing ranked. And If I got a mid or high gold rank, I'd play till I derank to the lowest gold rank. Since I solo queued, I often found myself in low gold. Rarely, if placement matches went exceptionally well, I'd reach low plat rank (that's ranked 1.0 plat, mind you). So, fast forward to today. Ranked 2.0 sucks, I have to start from copper and grind my way to Emerald (I mean if I can be an Emerald, anyone can; but I refuse to be one). I'm consistently getting placed in matches with and against champions. Bunch of cheaters, and unfair matchmaking(solo queueing and made up grind ranks). I don't enjoy it, but I still play it; mainly because of sunk cost fallacy(3000+ hours). Though I find myself playing quickmatch and arcade nowadays. :S

I agree heavily with Varsity on why cheaters do this stuff in Rank/Unrank. It about ruining the game for other people and hurting game. (So basically if USA take South Koreas ideology on games being part of Technology industry Cheaters/Cheat Developers would be in a lot legal trouble)

I hate Call of Duty but how they do their anti-cheat I think Ubisoft should take a page out of their book. Like whenever it detects someone cheating just make their bullets unable to kill people.

IDK if it works the same in r6 but there is a way in some other games to negate a lot if not all vertical recoil by strafing while firing. That could be why his shots in match 6 had so little recoil.

As a 700 hour gamer. I have seen at least 1 cheater every 2 matches. Its so ridiculous right now that ubi is doing nothing to stop this.

had a lobby with 8 cheaters in it 2 weeks ago. just me and 1 guy on the enemy team not cheating, it was crazy they were doing 1v1s with eachother the whole game

I miss being able to play siege without running into cheaters every lobby. On console it’s just xim but it’s so annoying I literally don’t even play the game anymore because of it.

My guess is that, while they are running into the wall they're hitbox is in the wall including the gun so they are able to shoot through the walls or ground, so with Azami it's basically a portable wall and since it's attached to the rest of the map it just gives her more room to get shots off without being killed by the others.

I played siege yesterday for the first time in 3 weeks. Played 6 games and got 8 cheaters, on 3 different servers…. No touching that game for a while

im pretty sure the camo liverpool is using on hibana is from the snowbrawl event cant confirm without loading up the game but im like 99% sure but the attachment camo hes using is from one of the premium sets that cost real money that come out every season

Got banned yesterday because the server thought it connected me to a game, tried reconnecting me to the nonexistant game after I got a server connection error, and then gave me another connection error and an abandon penalty. Siege is skiing down a quality slope.

I’m very happy to be on Console where the cheating problem is so rare but also had the fortune to avoid all the bugs and server errors

varsity i run your charm on every weapon... i was in a casual match yesterday and someone typed in team chat "bandit your a great player with that charm!" then i said "he told me it would make me a better player" it did... i got the most kills on pc ive ever had that match.. 12 kills 1 death it was wild i was so glad i didnt waste money

I’ve been contemplating coming back for the past couple of days, after seeing a couple of Varsity’s vids, but now I’m second guessing it. Is this what Siege is like now?

So is that shooting through wall hack enabled by them running at the wall and therefore pushing the guns hitbox to the other side of the wall? Or are they just randomly all doing that because they are just bad + paranoid against someone else who also has cheats?

I'm terrible at the game, took me 6 years to get to a consistent 1-1.2kd and I'm still hard stuck bronze/silver, but even though my audio is at "normal" levels, I'm really good at audio calls. I can picture things insanely well, I can hear a noise and if I'm familiar with the area I'm in I can picture the exact environment and what's going on it's wild, like daredevil's weird echolocation sight shit. Same goes for siege. In some situations I can just zone in and picture exactly where people are if there's clear enough audio. A lot of the time it's inaccurate cause Ubi, but when Siege's audio is close enough to where I can use this strange picturing thing in my brain I can basically get soft walls with just brain power. As my skill level dictates however, it's definitely a rarity that it's successful. But once in a blue moon I can absolutely dunk on everyone and predict their every move. I wish siege had more consistent audio cause I'd be insane (minus my terrible aim, it's dreadful) Basically, if I was better at the game I'd be the ultimate sound whore. It's crazy, someone could literally make the tiniest sound, but if I'm close enough to them you bet your ass I'm tracking their every move from that point on without having to see them

the shoot while reloading is probably a cheat claiming they have infinite bullets cheat:nah this person aint got 30 shots, they got unlimited server:you got it boss game:*notices the counter is now at 0/30 instead of 30/30 so it makes the character reload for no reason (this is my best guess for this so if im wrong im sorry)

Good 5:58 same thing happened to me threw a wall once, it was guys first kill in round 4 he eneded the Lobby with 10 kills, rage cheating and my team didn’t believe me 😂

personally i'll play a match occasionally partially to remind myself why i don't and partially because it's hilarious how mad people get over nothing on fuze vs amaru, the skill level effects the meta MASSIVELY

Siege is my second most played game ever (besides call of duty over multiple titles and years) and tbh I’m not very good at it. My aim isn’t the best but I know the maps like the back of my hand so it makes it a whole lot easier. If my game sense wasn’t so good, I would have quit playing a long time ago lol 🤣

We have seen the cheats in the first game before. They’re trying to clip through the wall and Azamis in order to get shots through it.

Not only have I seen more cheaters ever than now, i feel like matchmaking is awful rn. i installed tracker overlay to double check and the first game i get into there is a random gold on my team in a full emerald lobby.

I was gonna be excited if you stream to YT (even tho I dont watch streams at in general).

Solo Queuing I've had a terrible experience due to cheaters. It's unironically every 3rd match has a cheater or someone myself and a teammate are suspicious of. Queuing with a friend or more lets us play another match or so before we find a cheater or suspicious person. I don't like playing games with the mentality of hoping there's not a cheater or already half assuming someone is cheating because they're doing good (2.0kd+ in match).

I miss the old days where the cheaters had goofy cheats. I saw a video on hereford where a maestro teleported to the top of the map and spin and aim botted everyone. There was another one where a Doc would teleport to enemy players when he mantled.

Btw they can reload whilst shooting becuase of a cheat called bottomless mag which basically gives you the ability to shoot without bullets in your mag but it still uses ammo

I used to play with friends and were getting to plat but ever since those friends stopped playing I have to solo que and I have been stuck in bronze/silver lobbies. Even tho I am hard stuck in lower lobbies I continue to play the game

match 3, the way his is playing make it looks like is a DBD player that plays siege sometimes playing tub, that is a skin for dbd looking at the ground instead of head level... that is a tech for killers to have a better view, whitout the weapon blocking half of the screen it might be a casual player that had a burnout of dbd and played some siege, then returned to dbd and now is testing the tub

29:37 yes every cod the trucks got quiter but the option as always been available to turn down the sound for vehicles. Audio has never really been bad in cod I just think the majority of people like to complain a lot a make up excuses for gaming. In wz 1 the vehicles never bothered me because I knew how to turn it down without effecting the Master volume and hearing footsteps.

Tbh, fuse is the operator that you play to fuck around. He has a shield and the ability to sometimes get away with bombing the fuck out of site... Yes he is dog shit, yes he barely gets used, yes it's just bad, but the only use I get out of fuse IS how fun it is to fuck around and finding out :)

I played a standard last night on kanal haven't played in a week get on and two kids are walling on the other team and constantly running out soawnpeaking and then on attack running straight to me and flashing me i went back in the replay and i was not surprised he was looking at me thru the wall and never droned once

former game hacker here the reason they can shoot while reloading is because how r6 stores your ammo so on your screen they are reloading but on their pc (client side) their gun is already loaded its the same reason they can have no bloom also same with recoil these are all floats that can be changed with cheat engine if you launch with out be

If the cheat devs know what they’re doing they can turn off the battleye reporting system. It’s pretty common knowledge. So the only way to get banned is a manual ban.
