I’m sure you know this, but GAS and MALAK are not just “available” with the raid currency, you do still have to finish their event. So GAS isn’t a 1.5 month farm, you can only use those tokens to buy him after you’ve done the event
@@Spooky_515 I think 6 months from scratch is closer. Each of the GET toons is 1.75 months if you solely farmed them. Obviously Ewoks / shard farms take about 3 months, so when factoring in the gear and relics I think 6 is a good estimate. (And I’m now realizing that If you’re talking about a new account, taking in the time to get to lvl 85, yeah you’re probably right with 10 months)
Great list. Only nitpick I have is that I would suggest Starck over Gideon for the initial Veers squad for two reasons: Makes the Assault Battle easier to complete at lower gear levels. More importantly, doubles as a SEE requirement. Gideon is a great character and does a lot of plug and play work, but I think for accounts that are in the phase of building core teams it's more important to be resource efficient so getting that "free" GL requirement is a pretty huge boost.
Nice vid! One thing about BHs is that the Aurra Sing One Shot lead team should have been the key one here. She's required for Jabba (but it obviously works with her being way less powerful) so having that team that can almost instantly annihilate a scary enemy is kind of incredible. Far better than whatever Bossk lead's grindy war of attrition will be. The chance to just take lower powered BHs under Aurra in there, get Mando's contract and eliminate that one scary guy is invaluable as a core team!
The fact that you also noted what toons are core and what can be diverse in teams, blows my mind. Exactly what I needed cause there are characters that I am missing therefore I was holding back on going for some others. Thank you
If you’re just starting out the best thing you can do is set your journey guide to executor. After that CLS (team), then Lord Vader. Those three journey guides are the best back to back and will give you the best well rounded roster between 0 - 4mil GP. This includes ships, pilots and galactic legends.
It's about time I've watched a little more strategic layout on this game since I've played it for so long. I'm just happy I assembled my sith lightning dream team (Treya/Palpatine/Dooku/NastyBasty/Sith Assassin. It's just really pretty when the whole enemy team turns blue lol

I see where you are coming from with the comment on Darth Revan and conquest - they absolutely wreck if you get the conquest card that puts thermal detonators on targets when they accumulate debuffs as they can stack debuffs so quickly, but even moreso than Imperial Troopers they're glass cannons because of the way ferocity works. Also DR's health equalization zeta cannibalizes other team members to keep him going, which is very appropriate, but not great for conquest! They're not a great "come from behind" team, once they start losing, it's hard to turn things around. I've actually found for conquest, adding Zeta Han Solo helps on a lot of nodes that don't feature a pre-taunter as he pre-stuns anyone likely to get in the way of getting DR's Insanity off against the leader first up.
I am a new player, 3 weeks in, so I don't know Alot of the terms used. I am trying to learn. Being so weak do you have any suggestions, other than grind it out? Any sources I can use to learn more about the game? I am a older player so not so tech savvy. Thanks.
Honestly YT is the best resource for newer players. There are podcasts and twitch streams but those have a tendency to be aimed at end game. Understanding the in game economy in regards to crystals is a big deal that helps accelerating the grind. Refreshing energy is by far the best value. Is there anything in particular you find challenging?
Oh, and if you don't have one already, work on getting a scoundrel team (ideally, BH or mostly BH) you can 3-star the last level of the Credit Heist with: you need at least 3 of them, (preferably 4, if not a full 5-man team) at G8/9, depending on the team comp and their mods and/or zetas. That'll help you a great deal with the credit crunch you're probably experiencing, by now. Enjoy the game!
Darth Malak is core part of any roster. He pulls out GL in GAC when placed on defence He is difference for 3 starring conquest node GG droids die off as quickly as sith empire teams.
Great video. I will add that if you put in Starck or a tank to replace Dark Trooper, you can do a lot of no attacked feats in Conquest, especially if you have zealous ambition datadisk. The are absolutely bonkers assuming you can get a turn, lol.
Listening to you describe characters in relation to requirements for other characters as well as generally where a team does well in various game modes was honestly just refreshing to see, today. And I don't even need to do anything with these core teams, as I'm set. But this video really helped me decide I need to refocus my attention to how teams work and are most effective. Thanks, Calvin!
My main team i got moff and the dark trooper at the back for armour shred and power, Nihilus leading the charge (really handy for higher health enemies when annihilation is charged), vader on the right for damage and force crush and ig11 on the left my taunt and healer, not exactly a full sith squad or imperials, jedi set up mace leader, qui gon, plo koon, kit fisto and ashoka tano (not fulcrum) Sith squad - sidious, vader, nihilus, sion and talon Not got many droids yet im still only level 66 😂😂 execute order 66 lol im still relatively new and really need to either create or join a guild, in the process of getting mando in beskar armour only 3 stages left to go but ill more than likely have to promote cara dune and greef Ahh also got a nightsister set up mother talzin, merrin, talia, initiate and ventress
If you haven't already, find a guild that does LS Hoth (TB) so you get easy ROLO shards, and possibly DS Geo in order to get Wat shards (just get your Geos to G12 so you can help guildmates get him as well). I think these 2 are available in a store now, but for store currencies you'll need for gear, so it's still better to get them through TBs... And higher-end guilds often don't do those TBs anymore, so you gotta take advantage while you're still kind of low level and can't be in those guilds that do the new higher TBs you'll definitely wanna do later.

I have a full team of bounty hunters however I can’t even start the Chewbacca journey. It says I haven’t completed the prerequisite “feel the force (level 85)” does that mean I need to be level 85 to get chewie I’m confused
Great video. I'm so happy you brought up credit heist. I just started up an alt and was quickly reminded of the credit bottleneck early game. Bossk and Boba are great suggestions so you can work a solid fleet early game
Bugs are fantastic early game, they are pilots for malevolence that comes in handy mid game, they can clean up some gls for the two shot, and they are required for WAT. Plus they get a tw datacron as a bonus

Not a whole lot. Gideon is typically better because of armor shred and base speed, but troopers still beat 95% of the same things and and starck is a GL req
Controversial pick: Ad Rad Rogue 1 with a side helping of MM. Both go hand in hand. Bistan and Rebel pilots now have homes under MM and Ad Rad. A decent Rebel fleet is going to help in GAC and TW. Ad Rad is awesome in Conquest and useful in GAC and TW. MM = Geo TB and RotE TB and for cleaning up some GLs e.g. LV. Also several GL, SK and Profundity reqs.
Ahh i see you buy a lot of your characters 😂😂 thats one thing i will not do i hate that play to win shit id rather grind out each day, takes longer but a lot more satisfying knowing you worked hard for the teams you aquire
ive been planning to put jedi counsular on my padme team cause the ship is 7 star and jedi is 7 star tier 8. is that a good play? perhaps save gen kenobi for a better team?
Not only does JC suck: his ship does, too. If you want a healer ship on your GR fleet, get PloKoon's instead. And any GR char will be better than JC on your Padmé team... which will need to include GK to be relevant, unless you throw in CAT and Mace, or your team is much faster (and preferably higher relic) than your opponent's. A zeta'd GK will enable your Padmé team to attack much higher GP teams than itself and do OK on defense, if your chars are well-modded. The only "better team" that's worth breaking up your standard Padmé team (Anakin, Ahsoka and GK) so you can put GK and Ahsoka in it (and CAT, if you get her beforehand so you use her as your 5th with Padmé), is JMK's. Which is a pretty long grind, as it requires four R7 toons (including Wat) and two R8... Also, you really want to have CAT on his team, so it's not really worth putting all your efforts into his grind if you can't farm her shards effectively yet.
I think another honourable mention would be Iden. Easy first team to build, Iden-Magma-Storm-Starck-Range, and can be upgraded with death and shore trooper

GAS is a luxury team. They’re good, but they don’t do anything exclusive (e.g. AB) and I’d focus on other things first. Even with the economy changes they’re not easily obtained. In place of that I’d say Nightsisters are a core “team” because you only need Daka on relics to clear battles in hard conquest and for the AB. One of the best bangs per buck in the game, especially from HDB. I’d also really recommend TFP over RG in the empire team - plays more to the debuff synergy and is an Executor req - the others for that journey are all over the basic teams.
I assume you mean luxury for beginning game, he's crucial for mid-end game for PVP and TB. Clones also do some tiers of an AB. NS would be a good start into them, especially with Asajj being needed for him.
@@CalvinAwesome GAS is /a/ team that can win those battles, not /the/ team that can win them, so he’s not critical, just useful. Clones (BB aside) doing T1 AB would require some dead end investments and the same AB can be done with rebels. It’d be weird to skip him long term but he’s not available early game and late game he’s just another solid team, especially now with no LSGeo. Same could be said of GG, though droid events (and hokey challenges for conquest) are a thing so his absence is more obvious. DSGeo is still something people play, as well. Easier team to get too, just needs patient shopping.
i've been spending so much time farming the requirements for GAS and his currency shards, and right as i get him to 80/100 they make the change to the store lol
