Love the garlands. When I paint beads, I put the paint in a plastic cup, and stir the beads around with a plastic spoon. then fish them out to dry. They get completely covered very evenly. It works great for stain also. I can't ever get the paint even when I do it with a brush or spray.

I think that beaded seat is to massage you while you drive or are at work. GREAT find!!! xoxo

Love all the garlands but my favorite is the garland with dark brown beads & nautical rope tassel. The tassel is so pretty with the twist on the top part!

Omg i found 1 of the beaded seat mats also at thrift store did the same thing lol took it apart painted them made longer garland with 2 tassels added small wood cross from hobby lobby gave them to people at church , we call them prayer beads

The seat cushion beads are such a cool idea for crafting. All of these projects turned out so pretty . I used to make paper beads. After rolling them, I'd string them on dental floss then dip the strand into poly urethane then hang from metal hangers outside to dry.

I live these ideas. Wonder what it would look like if if the bright beads that were painted were submerged in the stain? Also, I'd put a dot of hot glue on the end of the beads to attach the tassel so the last bead wasn't going sideways. Your little girl is absolutely adorable.

Great demos!! For fiber tassels you can steam them for a few seconds, either with a steamer or an iron on steam setting and the strands will smooth out!

I just love bead garland!!!!!! I will definitely be making a few more!!!!!!! I love the textured spray paint but haven't had much luck with it.....the nozzle keeps clogging on me. I did an old black plant stand into the stone that you used. It should have only taken less than a can to cover, but I went thru 3 of them because of the clogging!!! TFS God bless and stay safe!!!

I took a medium sized shipping box, lined it with newspaper, put my beads in it, and while I sprayed it with paint I shook the box around so that the beads were constantly moving. It worked amazing well. It was just an experiment, a successful one.

Since the video is from one year ago, perhaps this comes as late, but on your second piece, where you said you didn’t know what that yarn was, according to the skein, it looks like embroidery floss and it is usually of soft cotton:) What would be the best string to make these pieces as prayer beads? Since they are to be manipulated the string has to be strong and resistant. Thanks in advance!

Don't know if it would work but I use thin small zip ties for holding things together like the poly rope? a piece of rope along the tie would cover up the evidence!

The thread used on the tassel for the 2nd one is Embroidery thread & can be bought in individual colors in those mini-style skeins at Walmart or any craft/sewing store very cheaply. I think the last one I bought was .79 cents.
