I somewhat understand the harshness that they put on these actors and idols. However, I will never understand that this is the same nation that is lenient on bullying and child abuse and rape and assault. Maybe if they implicated the same harshness in these incidents, it wouldn't be so bad, but they don't.
I hope Ji Soo is able to make a come back to the screen considering the accusers admitted to lying about him. Yes believe the person who comes forward but always keep an open mind about the situation and wait to make a final decision when everything is out in the open. Its always innocent until proven guilty. If he has to go to another country to be an actor I hope he does and gets back into acting since he is talented.

It probably coz the accusation about touching the female student was false but he did admit first about him being in a deliquent group and bullying student in past before later change the story after meeting with the poster which is sus. And the accusation of bullying have multi account not just one person maybe thats why netizen not easily forgive and trust him. They can, but it's insanely hard to sue for defamation and in a place like Korea, I assume more so. That's cause slander (verbal/face to face etc) and libel (written) is a big case of he said she said. But in cultures where there is high value placed on the face (ie who you are in essence) saving face is especially important and once its lost, even wrongfully, there's no way to recompense. Especially when such a public persona. Kinda like a first impression. If you gove off a stoic impression the first time you meet someone, even if you are a vibrant vivacious person, it will take some time for people to recover from the initial impression. Similar concept.
It is unfortunate that your name is sullied even if the allegations are proven false and that it will be impossible to make a comeback. I hope Jisoo will get projects internationally and I hope eventually he can still be able to work in Korea again. Actually, he should sue the ones who spread false rumours against him. That person is a victim of bullying but it seems in turn he “bullied” Jisoo on a much bigger scale.
Cancel culture is ridiculous. People make mistakes - unless they continue to make the same mistake. Canceling someone for bullying in school in the past is stupid especially when the schools take no action to stop it when it is happening.

I just learned from this video that a scandal was the reason the chick from Bloodhounds disappeared in the second half. It really bothered me that she never returned. It just didn't make sense that she wouldn't return to get revenge. Since her scenes were already filmed, they could have just left them in. Editing her out was a bit ridiculous, and definitely hurt the plot. What was the point?

I'm so glad people are having more eyes on the industries tbh but it sucks still hearing the stories of child actors going down bad/rough paths.... Regardless of WHAT industry from which every country, people forget these are kids and people who too will turn to other outlets especially with the pressure of the public (especially in SK) sometimes making them go the extremes it seems (ex: alcohol, drugs, and in severe cases d*ath or M*rd*r later in life)... I'm not surprised many stepped back from it or were arrested. I'm surprised by the ignorants being surprised they still are going down this path I guess...The human mind is complex and and fragile wtf did you expect in corrupt industries? My thing is if a normal person did what some of these actors did they'd have a record, a black mark, be fired and most probably not be able to find a non-minimum wage job. Alot of fans believe that the actors and actresses are exempt from being held accountable. I don't believe in netizen h8te they're EXTRA AS HELL. However agencies and broadcasting stations are well within their rights to choose not to hire you. It’s unfortunate that so many actors/actresses have gotten derailed either by rumors or by actual indications that they’ve been abusive, or have alcoholic dependencies. I find that some of the dramas show women intoxicated, or have been sexually compromised. Until those scenarios are addressed in the movie/film industry, there’ll be incidents of abuse or accusations of sexual inappropriate behaviors. Although some of the scenarios look glamorous, there is often some fall-out for those participating in the Film industry. It’s a difficult balance that is most likely overlooked by viewers

The actors I believe will come back are: Kim Sae Ron Kim Jisoo This two are quite big not only in Korea but internationally to us international kdrama fans and since they are young I am most certain they will come back and I actually hope they do because for Jisoo he was falsely accused just like many idols from haters who only wish to ruin their careers so I do think he is coming back. For Sae Ron she made mistakes but she is still young and can turn her life around be a better person and come back.

They didn't stop at that, they circulated some bs claim saying Seo Ye Ji was a bully before in her life, and although no one could prove anything, this allegation was so broadly circulated, people cancelled such a talented actress like Seo Ye Ji. Later, Seo Hyun's reputation was kinda redeemed, but still she suffered for nothing. And, that actor, he didn't give any clarification for anything, and is going on being one of the most loved actors. The irony.

These people are human and humans make mistakes all the time ,just because they are in the public domain they are judged before all the facts are gathered and investigated by the appropriate authorities . That doesn't give anyone the right to destroy their careers and reputations falsely when they are falsely accused because of someone thinking that they are someone else .
