That's horrible! I've been watching Sulli's series Jinri Market. The way knetz went after that lovely woman for having a voice and just trying to be herself makes me sick. She tried so hard to fight against it but they were relentless. The harsh judgement and treatment needs to stop.
So they drove someone to kill herself because of a dress?.. while male idols go shirtless and get praised......And the sick people in this comment section are proud of that?
yeah its confirmed died of cardiac arrest 2020 due to suicide. she was killed by the people's comment, folks she never know but severely damaged her on the inside.
That's sad. Sad she thought that she had to wear that type of a dress to make a statement in the first place....not sure what type of statement she was trying to make? Very sad though that a bad fashion choice could derail your career as an actor. I hope people don't try so hard to be naked because it's hasn't been bold since the 70s and enjoy an actor for their acting. The rest is all fake bs.
She became too thin recently, looks almost like a sick person except her face looks pretty but she has lost some charm in face also because of too much low weight. She even looks unhappy these days.
It didn’t help her at all, sadly she even looked vulgar in that dress which you don’t want at all. I love her and I was so happy for her going but that dress is an out for real
The first brothers black dress was extremely beautiful, and it looks so good on her or you could tell she was feeling herself until bunch of people on the Internet, with nothing better to started to ruin her day
Why you being insecure why you hating on their outfits they like it and feel confident just because you don't like the clothes does not mean other's don't
when Dolce&Gabbana invites you to fashion week and tells you to wear an outfit, you dont ask questions tbh. Also these hot actors can make a potato sack even look good
Moon Gayoung's one was a bit jarring. They should've made the lower half at least a skirt instead of underwear and if they were going to do a bra, at least get something that fits. Also have a jacket over it. It was not flattering in the least. Doyoung's jacket would've fit that style perfectly.
Atleast shorts would have been better but they straight up made her wear bra and panty and calling it an outfit is disgrace to such a high brand . Its not a lingerie fashion show atleast. All men at the show are covered well and why does gayoung need to be so skimpy. She looked uncomfortable no matter what people say she is confident or sexy or whatever , its pure injustice and objectification of women under the name of brand contracts. They should include a clause regarding negotiating the outfits that are inappropriate for the actors image .
That's what I've been always saying!!!! Only people who have no knowledge to offer or got nothing going on in their brains other than their body do this
@@dawn3589 normal people yes. But they are celebrities and all these are high status events. People accuse them of "attention seeking" like its not LITERALLY their job.
@@dawn3589 and I'm saying that attention seeking is exactly a celebrity's job! it's like accusing a stripper for stripping. It sounds dumb stating the obvious.
I remember reading in a forum about Han Se Ah's bondage dress. One person said that she was forced to wear that dress. It was basically a punishment game and they intentionally made her wear that and if she didn’t they threatened to destroy her career. I remember trying to link someone on youtube about the comment but it was shortly deleted. I still have no idea whether they're telling the truth or not. All I can say is, its creepy. 😬
@@mollydelacy9007 I know, I was being sarcastic. I don’t know if the term is common in many countries, but it is definitely not a word that is used very often by native speakers of English, in English speaking countries. I would say that in the US, the term is beyond rare, and I only encounter it in the context of Korean online culture, usually when (presumably mostly Korean) ‘netizens’ are said to be outraged or offended by some trivial or ridiculously petty issue, or something of a private nature that should not be any of their business.
For fashion shows, the attendants don't get to choose what to wear, the brand sends them the outfit. Moon Gayoung most likely did not have a say in what she wore, which is a shame. I hope she didn't feel too uncomfortable but given how Doyoung gave her a jacket to cover up, maybe she did
She might have gotten used to it if not expected it since the previous time she had a similar outfit that was given, except that one was a white version and was somewhat more opaque than this one. I hope they give her more options next time, otherwise she looks great in everything!
Teach people to be respectful! Let women wear what they want to wear without being s lut shamed! Men usually get away with taking their shirts off on any occasion but if women dress sexy suddenly people draw a line.
Excuse me, let women wear what they want to wear? Walking naked is being respectful? Let your mom and sis do that then, let them walk naked across the street coz you respect them. SMH, y'all need help
@@BettyM-ccBetty btch it has nothing to do with you and your ideologies. Every women knows what she's doing and how to dress and MOST IMPORTANTLY none of them needs your opinion. Go back to your god before I throw you there by your hair.
It's call misogyny. Women are not to be seen or heard...that's the asian way. Remember that. At least that's what I was brought in. I totally rebelled of course. LoL
@@BettyM-cc but they weren't naked, even if it showed a lot of skin. Technically, all the actresses in the video weren't naked. Netizens are just toxic AF, judging actresses on their clothes and relationships as if they have any say in their private lives. Fans should only judge when it comes to actress performances and that's it.
These idols need to understand, the people who criticize and berate them were never their fans. They were only waiting for an opportunity to bad mouth them. They hate seeing people gain success and fame because their lives are so bad, they want to pull others down to their level or even lower.
No. You can wear beautiful dresses without showing so much skin! Why do you need to reveal your body like this? To sexualize your appereance? Looks trashy, sorry.
@@ArohaStilllet’s put the idols/actors part aside. Did we watch the same video? You have people who comments are meant to be hurtful and shaming, calling them dirty and other foul things and that is the type of “criticism” you endorse? You can critique people, heck you can dislike what they wear and still keep the comments respectful.
Public figure bear the social responsibility, can you imaging young girls thinking is is OK to show off their boobs in public, and all the males ogling at all the female's breasts? In no time, many police station would be reporting with many rape cases.....let's not kid yourself that it's Ok cause these people are setting a social norm
bru these dresses are ok but the problem is whether the person is feeling comfaratble or not? true beauty actress didn't look comfartable at all and it is true she did look way skinny if she wasa little bit gained she might have glowed even more its my opininon i don't hate her
Confidence is about yourself. You decide, not others. Definely draw a line about what a woman can wear or not is not ok. If they dressed like that, that's because they feel confident
It may not be confidence to you but other women may feel differently. You have to step away and consider other people's perspectives from time to time.
It's just revealing clothes don't actually makes us look pretty As moonbyul told once - I don't wear revealing clothes that doesn't mean I am not pretty... Go and check her fashion sense! She always slayys hard
it's just truly sad that of the serious social issues Korea has- netizens are always the first to be so shallow and bully celebrities for being real. Look at just about any award show across the world with pop singers or move/drama actors and all are dressed to show off or even be paid to wear a designer's clothes. Yet instead of praising someone for how beautiful they look- let's shame them because as a netizen, my life sucks so let me feel good about myself and boost my self worth by tearing down a celebrity for what they do or what they wear because i can do it by hiding myself online and i have power (so delusional). You would actually feel better by praising someone for what they achieved or how good they looked. Because I have yet to see any awards show in any country where the famous actors or singers don't wear something to get noticed (yet look at all the korean dramas and movies where girls and women wear such provacative or such short short attire that they can't even sit properly- but that's ok). That is what the fashion industry is- to get noticed but nope we are going to bully someone instead, even if it cost them their career or worse- their life. truly a sad world we live in
I think we have no right to judge 🙃 it's everyone's own personal lyf they can do whatever they want!! As long as they're okay with it comfortable in it i have no problem... because when they're wearing that they already know that they're going to recieve criticism..
@@rvi98 🙂I don't have anything to do with it so why will I know about it I wrote my personal opinion...maybe media and industry behaves to get targeted but in any case I don't want to troll or judge someone in any possible case whom I don't even know personally... because maybe it's hurtful for them :))
So, let me get this straight. Netizens accused the actresses of wearing revealing outfits in order to get attention. Then the actresses admitted that they chose their outfits because they wanted to get noticed.
@@yumyummy3478 Wearing a fine dress which is not revealing will also catch people's attention. There's no need to wear clothes which reveal their private parts.
I feel so sad for all these women, especially Oh In Hye. They all looked good and folks were just jealous/conservative/should mind their own f*** business.
@@CallmeSirrrrwhich people? Who gave them that right? What if people have different ideas of what’s wrong and right? Did we ever conduct a vote to elect who decides women’s clothing?
@@soultune908 people of all around the world . Nobody needs any rights to think what they want. Oh In Hye is no more in this world. Her last youtube video is still talked about in many mystery channels. Watching this video and realising she got that amount of hate, is really sad.
90% of those outfits are wearable outfits making them look gorgeous, I applause 👏 them for wearing them. Instead of making themselves look as if their going to a prom.😅😅😅
its not scandalous, its way less revealing than w hat we see young people wearing these days. At least these korean actors have the bodies to be able to wear these outfits. Lighten up people.
We are so used to seeing revealing clothes and associating it with female empowerment, especially in US red carpets. I think we should also to some extent understand the conservative standards in other places (at the time) too. But a lot of these dress won't receive backlash if worn today.
I remember when J-Lo wore her famous green dress? everyone was shocked and I automatically said "oooh she's going to get it now..." I thought it was hot. And then Lady Gaga's meat dress LOL I don't know about anyone else but I automatically thought of hot pot and bbq. LoL anyways, asian countries are behind when it comes to "women's empowerment" . Culturally Asian countries are more conservative and teach at a young age, females are not to be seen, not bring attention to one self, and not be heard. It is mostly implied but rarely said. I had to deal with that and I hated it. But then again I was always rebelled and was the "blacksheep" in the family and still am. 😂😂
@@ro-zeea.8734 I get your point, there is a lot more scrutiny & suppression of females, and I wish they could change that but also preserve their own conservative ways. Mainly because I am also put off by the trend of showing more skin=society supporting women empowerment. That's a slippery slope that exploits more than it benefits women. I'd like to see more empowerment not centered around the body but the thought.
@@rhuonaChanel I agree with the sentiment about the whole "show skin = empowerment" and it's not just showing skin in a neutral nude way but it's hyper sexualised too. If dressing like that is empowering then why don't men? why haven't they dressed like that when they were in power in society? I don't think it's truly empowering might make you feel sexy and that is a nice feeling for many that can make them feel confident but confidence is not to be confused with actual power. Men in society don't need to be beautiful and sexy and show a bunch of skin to be powerful, they are ceo's and politicians, you know people with real tangible power. Not to mention at what point does these kind of clothing become objectifying? Idk... the whole thing feels just like some patriarchal ploy to get women to sexually objectify themselves and appeal to the male gaze by convincing them it's empowering... Even when women are criticized by men for dressing like this I think men still benefit from it, they just like to be mean to women and they will take any chance to put them down.
@@sheluvssmokedupeyes1 the collectivism that is predominant in Asia has its admirable points and critical shortcomings, especially when compared to the individualism focus in the west.
I just thought the red dress with the drawstring at the front of the Breast was too short, but otherwise they had beautiful bodies in beautiful clothes. There was nothing offensive about it. They felt comfortable in their clothes and weren't afraid to show themselves. I think that's great. In the films themselves, you often see more skin. Everyone should be honest and authentic.
Honestly all these dresses looked beautiful on the girls. They all looked hot! The only exception is Lee Sung Kyung as I agree that the bra choice was not flattering.
No one is questioning the actresses' beauty and great bodies, but really women. Does a provocative dress make you a great actress? Nope, and no. Class is memorable, classless is and will be forgotten.
No, but what makes you think that they were trying to prove how good an actress they are or are not by wearing a dress on a red carpet? I am sure the showing off of their acting skills takes places whenever they are on set waiting for a director to say action.
It's obvious that like anything else, not everyone will have the same opinion about revealing dresses. Some may wear such clothes confidently, some may not. But I don't think this is something on the grounds of which u can question or hate someone. U do what u want; what others wear is afterall their choice, whether u like it or not. And tbh, all the actresses looked beautiful.
Korean Netizens spend more time on their phones criticizing everyone else but themselves. In a society that critiques you for everything, I wonder how actors survived. I guess that's the tradeoffs for wanna be rich
Thank you God for the culture I was born into and the country I'm from. We have our bad but Korean culture emphasis so much on perfection it's like they don't want their people to be human.
these women are all beautiful! they shouldn't let the bad comments haunt them... and they shouldn't apologize for wearing their dress as well... as long as no one forced them to wear it. people will always have something to complain about...
The internalised misogyny in this comment section is appalling. Dressing a certain way shouldn’t be an invite to disgusting/vulgar comments or lewd looks.
But honestly I just love your video it was quite different something good that make you understand what people will think about you if you were something like this 😞
Many of these dresses showcase how some things are considered ok in some cultures, while other cultures are more conservative and find them an issue. Like many dresses in the video are in line of what we see on red carpets in western countries, and tbh i wouldn't even bat an eye to them because i'm so used to see similar styles today. Additionally, what is the most interesting is how times have changed; the "too revealing dresses", that looked ok to me (from a western perspective) in the mid 2000 were just ahead of their time imo I guess a further discussion is also about how women present themselves. Some say revealing the body is powerful and shows a womans (natural) beauty wheras some might say it's sexualizing.
True, she looks amazing. All of them tbh, I had a poke face throughout the whole video. Nothing surprising about those dresses, just women being confident and it needs a lot of confidence to be able to wear those type of dresses, not everyone can do that so kudos to them. If that's what they're comfortable with then that's all that matters. It's their lives, their choices. No big deal.
For that's why i use to wear dress that cover my body and not revealing and still people from both gender judge you that why you are so old fashioned. Atleast i feel comfortable and confident and i dont need to worry about dress malfunction.. People have really bad choice regarding clothes
Maybe she didn't have a choice but still the dress looks cheap on her . She should have discussed to not ruin her image . Such small things can cause so much negativity towards celebs unnecessarily which can be avoided
I don't understand when koreans wear clothes that are revealing people starts criticising them .but when others like American celebrities wear more revealing and most revealing clothes, people praise them.some outfits in this video were not even that revealing.
I personally believe that moon GaYoungs management company should feel ashamed of themselves for, if not forcing at least allowing this young woman to appear in public wearing such a tasteless outfit ,its appalling
All of thr other actresses had their choices with those outfits and they were radiating confidence. But Kayoung wasn't. I bet she was herself very shocked when the stylist suggested that look cuz comeon she couldn't even pose properly and kept covering herself up with her hair and clutch. They did her bad. She's pretty as f but that lingerie, nah bro that was not right.
People sure are over sensitive and hyper judgemental. Netizens are actually nobody's with their own little personal opinions. So what if the dresses are revealing. Stop holding stars to such high standards. They can't meet Everyone's expectations. After all, they're only human. And we all make bad choices sometimes. Korean standards are unrealistically high and superficial.
I don't care about the rest, they're fine, but gayoung's outfit. She looked hot in it but I believe that outfit was inappropriate for that event, with such big crowd and media, and she wore that despite the weather being cold and i don't get why some people said she looked confident wearing that, but for me, rather than confident, she was bold.. because if she was confident, she wouldn't be uncomfortable wearing it. She seemed to me that she was super conscious, that during the event, as far as i have noticed and can remember, her smile was so faint, and she kept covering her crotch with her bag. it was obvious for me that she was uncomfortable and she was just keeping it professional and that's great of her.. I just hope it didn't take too much of a toll on her image -the way she views herself and the way the public views her now.
Scandalous or not most of these are just UGLY like no explanation is needed, and Oh In Hye is rumored to have deleted herself from the world because of the amount of hate she was getting from her wearing that dress. Also, Doyoung gave her his jacket because she looked cold, I remember seeing a post saying '' he's such a gentleman, giving her his jacket when he didn't have much to work with himself '' and that made me laugh😂
