It's been WAYYY too long since I've started this series, and I'm JUST NOW getting to Moonbyul. I don't know how that happens but hey, it's about time I get the Mamamoo rapping queen on my list! All of her raps were pretty consistent in terms of speed, so there wasn't much difference between #1 and #20... maybe just 15 syllables separated them. Let me know if you think I missed any of her raps that should be on this list! I'll let you know their rough speed in the comments if I looked at that one! Thank You for watching! Things I love about Moonbyul's rap: 1. Her flow is versatile and switches to match the song 2. The lyrics makes sense and tells a story. This is cos most of the time she writes her raps 3. She adds a lot emotion when performing.

Moonbyul is objectively talented, people who don't see the incredible rapping talent she has must not know anything about rap and think it's all about speaking fast. Rap coaches and professional rappers/singers say this. Even her fellow idols and especially fellow rapper idols are impressed by her. When she performs live at award shows, the whole audience basicallly goes 😳 lmao I wish people would understand this and stop crying when someone adds "fun fact" at the start of the sentence.

I so felt like her raps in Moon Movie, AYA and Diamond were super fast but I guess not compared to the ones in the ranking haha. And yeah she does have her own personal style and I'm 100% certain she could rap even faster but she goes with what she feels works best for the song. I don't think I've ever not enjoyed one of her raps, I'm always looking forward to her parts in the group songs

Moon Movie was *roughly* 6.25sps ... tied for 10th! It almost made it! Diamond was barely slower at around 6.13sps Aya has a lot of quick bursts, but also a lot of space in between them, so it sounds faster than it is~

Fun video. Byul is one of the best rappers in Kpop because she gets it. She can feel the flows and switch them up at will. Lyricist and actual swag to boot. I love her. Just an aside-Gleam was a commercial song, not a Title track...which is ridiculous because it’s amazing and one of their best songs. Much like Wanna Be Myself. Stan talent!

Hah I know! I remember talking to friends about it and being like- “how iconic is it that they have a song for an EYEGLASS COMPANY and it’s ONE OF THEIR MOST CATCHY SONGS. Legends.” Moonie is my favorite, I love that she writes most of her own raps and it’s great that she does because she can control the emotion and dynamics in the rap and give us such great flow that way. They’re an incredible group and she’s an incredible artist

Moonbyul's best strength in her raps are her flow, tone, and clear diction. She does not aim for speed but she leans on toward the delivery of emotion. People can understand her clearly even when she is rapping and i like that about her. I like that you are talking about her though cause people always forget that mmm has a rapper like wth

the fact that her fastest rap is literally in mamamoo’s debut song is actually super impressive! it just goes to show that she’s always been an insanely talented rapper (even though she only had like six months or something to prepare for the role). i also love that she doesn’t rely on speed, her rap style is mostly reliant on her flow which is really nice. she could definitely go super fast if she wanted to, but she doesn’t have to to be considered a god tier rapper and she knows that.

Honestly I wouldn't call Moonbyul a "fast" rapper, she's more focused on the style and flow than the speed. Just saying but that's also true for the BTS rappers: for RM, the focus is lyrics, for Suga it's delivery, and for J-Hope it's style and flow. That's not to say they don't focus on the rest, but these are the aspects that stand out the most in their raps. Just my opinion though so feel free to disagree.

I saw your BTS rap line videos in like 2018 and I was WAITING for you to do my second ultimate group omg. FINALLY MOONBYUL. Moonbyul, as many pointed out in the comments, definitely has the capability to go faster cuz her diction and delivery is crystal clear but she mostly prioritizes flow. Her flows are always unique and NONE of her raps sound the same, her versatility and range leaves me breathless.

In my opinion moonbyul and jessi are the best female rappers in kpop. Both of their vocal tones really suit their different rapping styles, and also they r one of the few female rappers who write most of their lyrics so like thats another great thing that makes them different and better than the other ones. There r some female rappers in kpop that rather look too forced doing the rapping parts and it doesnt rly sound and look natural, its like they try too much and then (to me) end up looking like they r making fun of the rap culture or smth like that. And both moonbyul nd jessi arent like that, they just sound natural and rapping really suits them. Idk this was my opinion pls dont come at me ;_;

i like her raps most in their jazzy and retro songs, i think it's really hard to rap in these types of genres but she really pulled it off. i haven't seen any idol rap to these genres, but i also haven't seen kpop groups try this genre(if anyone knows lemme know),. but one thing is for sure she's one of the most versatile rappers out there

Imo kpop hip hop is much better than normal pop hip hop. Honestly, imo, you shouldn't have even been hating hip hop raps. The lyrics are just artists choice and "sex, drugs, and money" don't define hip hop raps. Some hip hop raps aren't about sex, drugs, and money.

Just curious, but where was 4x4ever in the ranking? It might not have made the cut because the fast part was at the end with an adlib of sorts, but it sounded pretty fast to me. I.... actually don't know. I know for males, in Khiphop Huckleberry P is generally respected as the best Korean Freestyler ... but, I don't know if i've heard any female rappers freestyle. I'm interested to find that out too haha
