Good video as always! I forgot to reply you on your last video. Everything is good about Jimove MC expect for the disc brakes which you have to change to Hydraulic brakes & the 36v battery which is a problem when going uphills. for now I still keep my JIMOVE MC until new e-bike models comes out! @@berniestudio yes I know you all along did Deliveroo lastime, but Sister Bernie may I ask now you still do Deliveroo or totally do food panda already? Daily pay wise you work the same amount of time and hours, is Deliveroo pay more or panda pay more? But seem is grab you remember the competition? Grabfood seems pay the highest after the same amount of time all three platforms started and end shift together right? You and the other two food riders rode on the same time, same day.
@@snowy2875 I will still do Deliveroo because of its flexibility. Foodpanda for when I plan my delivery hours. For the competition with fellow riders, I believe due to the incentives, final winner was Foodpanda.
Smart. So those routes that need to turn right, she uses shared path,foot paths and cycling paths while so roads that could turn left she stayed on the road. This way, the vehicle stops minimally/didn't stop at all.
Also depends on whether there are shared or bike paths. On footpaths I have to push my bike can be tiring, but in parts of downtown and orchard it might be better to push than to use the roads. Thanks for watching my videos!
I feel like if you're young and/or in good health AND elevators are not an option at your building, you should go down to get the food. At least that's what i used to do when the elevator at my building was a bit tricky.

Actually the route from Orchard Boulevard to Devonshire Road via Paterson Road is very long. But if it works out better than the alternative then all good.
Hi, someone gave an answer - you need to show proof that you are going in for a delivery. I guess you go to the lane that is not auto entry, so the guard can help open the barrier for you.
I tried Deliveroo. Only paid $10.x PER HOUR for less than 4hr (mostly during peak hour) and decided if depend on Deliveroo alone will most likely die as a beggar in sg . Given long distances befitting motorcycles and about $5 per order . It's like begging as a third world child labor working in a first world country having served National service. Everyday I asked around, almost everyone I asked is doing Grab. So it must be true.
@berniestudio yes. I think that's why it's the smallest player and least active riders who do it as main platform. It's expected to become even smaller, imho. The Hari Raya period it was offering good fees though. Now the honey moon is over. Roo is having incentives till 18th. 1 week. But this seems to be by giving low fees. 🤔
@@berniestudio After some thinking, decided to quit food delivery. Too much life risk , forced onto the roads, too many cameras and greenman. Too low fees. Fines are devastating. Sink-A-Poor. So, I am OK to accept quitting this. All best to you.

Yes it is big. But most of the time foodpanda will give your orders that are within a specific radius. However, there’s no guarantee that your pick up and drops will stay within the zone. For example, pick up from Wisma deliver to Scotts, then pick up from balmoral plaza deliver to chancery lane, then pick up from novena velocity deliver to Toa Payoh. There are smaller zones in the foodpanda zone map that you can try, eg Jurong East
@@5kplamse Yes you can, but for Foodpanda it will affect your "Acceptance Rate" which will affect your Batch Number the next week. This affects overall earnings. I keep the rejections for when they are most needed, for example, if I'm at the end of my shift and the last job takes me away from my home base, then I might reject. Hope this helps!
Stacks can happen a few ways 1/ two orders from same restaurant, deliver to different locations 2/ two or more orders from different restaurants, eg within same mall, delivering to customers close to each other, eg same block or office building. 3/ if you got a long distance delivery, you might get one that you can drop off along the way. @@JamesYYLee I just completed a dinner shift today, but I started a little early at 4:30pm on Deliveroo. Got about $68. For 4 hours weekday dinner shift if you do 5:30pm to 9:30pm you probably could hit above $50. But it really depends on the day of the week, and the types of orders you get.
To join One food delivery, seems like rider must give every permission they demand including access to all your contact list , sms, photos and many things which don't seem to be perceived by many as necessary for the job. But Singaporeans mostly no issue with this it seems. At least no hoohah over it. Last time I worked for one delivery, somehow my photos of delivery of food to customer lost. I still not sure what happened.
@berniestudio I mean I used my phone to take photos of food delivered showing the unit number. I wonder can apps know what photos I took like more private photos like personal friends photos😉 not photos sent via then platform app
❤It would be interesting if can interview car drivers what they feel or are thinking whenever they see ebikers running at 25kmh or lower on the roads in front of them where car drivers usually decide to Overtake the ebikes or overtake abruptly to enter the slip roads on the left as ebikes going straight are BLOCKING their entering the slip road? If many car drivers, especially those who do not know what rules and laws ebikers are subjected to , find ebikes a nuisance, I think they better go for road course to update themselves on ebike rules in force. All road users should know how the vehicles on the road are subjected to by the laws for fundamental reason of safety for themselves and the road users. Personal view: I think car drivers find ebikers a nuisance as reflected by their horning, driving very close behind ebikes to pressure them or middle fingerings ebikes. I experienced public bus drivers doing all the above. Car drivers also may think that ebikers are wobbling on the road especially on moving off from a stop. Even professional cyclists will wobble from moving off because the wheel is not moving to provide stabilization. Furthermore, ebikers need to check on the phones especially when near the destination to navigate the smaller inner roads. Also do car drivers know many ebikers have been fined $600 or some $300 ? Do they agree that slow ebikes on the roads create safety issues for both ebikers and car drivers? If being slow is safe, why are Car drivers and motorcyclists allowed at 60kmh? All it takes is one car driver watching his phone and lapsing attention on the road for 1 second to bang into a ebiker. So is it safe? What does some people define safety as? Why not they themselves ride ebikes everyday to work and give themselves a thumbs up?
I get honked at when I can’t ride fast enough. But no matter how hard I pedal my speed is only this much. Can be stressful when there are buses tailgating you, or they will overtake you without consideration for the length of their vehicle.
@berniestudio You are spot on, Bernie! I believe this is an issue all ebikers face when they subject themselves to the artificially created rules which can be perceived by many as flawed . The more we talk about our issues, the more awareness can be achieved for any possibility of change. So the issue is, moving off, no matter which position we are in the traffic , the car or even bus behind us will always be forced to slow down to a speed unusual or not typical to them such they have to do an Overtake which can cause accidents. The reasons car drivers honk could be : 1. They are annoyed as they don't know why we are so slow. We are slow due to regulation imposed on us. Drivers are typically not aware of these regulations which is also a flaw in the ebike implementation / policy. All road users should ve educated this new policies because they too are affected and for safety reasons. 2. They see us wobble a bit when moving off from dead stop. But this is normal for bicycles. 3. Sadists

@@scubastonk I do believe our bodies have a way of either adapting or telling us when we should call it quits. 5 days a week is definitely doable. You have to build up slowly, and pace yourself. REGULATE is the keyword. Imagine your energy level like a fuel tank, your muscles like a rubber band, and your mental strength like a record player. Your goal is to make sure there’s always fuel in the tank, the rubber band doesn’t snap, and the record player is constantly playing your favourite song. First get an e-bike. Take a month to build up to 5 days a week. If not you will crash within the first week. When dealing with the deliveries, don’t try to rush, conserve your energy. It’s a marathon not a race. Remember you can take breaks or rest a day or two. Don’t force yourself if you feel bad that day. Hot weathers are super draining and rainy weathers are super messy. Just have to juggle these two. If you survive the month without crashing, your body would have started to adapt to your new lifestyle. Just like any sport or physical activity you might start getting addicted to it, aka you might feel bad or empty if you don’t do it. And some days you might go into denial or anger like you hate this gig, but tell yourself these are all normal, just continue. Yes it is sustainable. Oh yes be sure to apply sun protection because the sun is unforgiving. The best way is to give it a try, and find out for yourself. Your body will let you know. Listen to it.
$150 for 8 hours. Working 20 days only $3000. Work 28 days only $4200. With no chance of increment, no CPF, no benefits, no MC. no annual leave, no profit sharing, no bonus. Why would anyone want or glamorize this low barrier entry job? Don't get trapped by gig economy.
Thank you for sharing your perspective. There’s no glamourising, merely sharing options. We are all out there to get as much revenue as we can, there are different ways to get there. Do due diligence to decide which route works best for you.
We don't need to see boss face, we can go toilet anytime we want, go makan anytime we want. We can exercise while we work, while office people still need squeeze out time to go gym or run
There is no job security in full-time employment too. Although, the “benefits” may seem reasonable or mandatory for salaried workers. We all are always disposable.
Nothing beats a FULL-TIME JOB and to "glamourize" this job as a "quick fix" solution is like getting a "wrong foot" on a pedal, it's not even "cool" as u can't even bargain with the sweltering heat & nvr a sustainable job
