I'm a braider this is definitely 6 inch the 8 inch is a tab bit longer. If head size is bigger I would definitely go with the 8inch

The outcome of this art you have done(to me, hair is art, because it's a creation) and you did an outstanding job, I am my own braider for my own head as well, and you just helped me out with some short cuts, with creating illusions of section singles without going all the way back, which indeed takes so much time.
