The deleted mission from RDR1 is also an ode to the book “Of Mice and Men” the story is almost identical including the big guy having to be shot because he accidentally killed a woman.

Most of the deleted missions for rdr1 came out in rdr2. The midget the giant and john being able to farm was all in rdr1 but got scrapped

Arthur was the one who made and formed John to who he would become in rdr1...In the game arthur constantly grooms john to his family over the gang and gives valuable lessons that john remembers after arthur's death...He relentlessly worries for john and tried to make him a good husband,better father..It's his shadow that lasted in John's life much more than anyone's... Honestly,i see john as the man arthur never got chance to become in his life..That's why he is so interesting and amazing in rdr1 rather than the dull one in the beginning of rdr2..

That's the difference between Arthur and John. In the story John becomes a literal Legend of the West. Arthur doesn't. Arthur's meant to keep a low profile throughout the game, hence Tacitus Kilgore, Arthur Callaghan, etc So nobody really knew his name enough to spread it around. John didn't have to run from the law in the original story so he was more able to indirectly get his name across and build his legend. It wouldn't have made sense story wise for a fame mechanic to be in this game when you're meant to be lying low.

The main reason red dead RU-vidrs dont have many subs is because red dead isnt a super popular game like GTA V, Fortnite, Roblox, etc. So he has about the average amount of subs for a red dead RU-vidr.

Basically, 80 % of the St-Denis buildings are based on real one (not necessarily in New Orleans). That's crazy.

I think its pretty well known by now but Braithwaite Manor is almost an exact replica of a plantation out in Vacherie called Oak Alley. They changed the interior though and I think it was modeled after The Hermitage.

Van Horn fist and knife fights are fun, Butchers Creek is easy to run away or shoot em all. Something so strange about VH and it's not only IKZ (but mostly) the light tower and the "let light shine in the darkness" motto of the saloon. IIRC the motto can be heard in Arthurs "last ride song"( when he confronts Micah/Dutch) It feels like VH has not exposed all it's secrets yet. The law seems to ignore the town completly...

More fun facts: Charles Smith got his right hand burned because of a mistake during the Blackwater Massacre. This is a reference to Red Harlow, he injured the same hand in the 1870s trying to defend his parent's ranch.

@strange man, you should do a video comparing locations in RDR2 to their real life counterparts, and where Rockstar got the names for towns and such. Recently, I visited New Orleans, LA and noticed a "Lemoyne" hotel. And outside of Savannah, GA there is a road leading to the Tybee lighthouse that is called "Van Horne Ave". So there's gotta be a story there.

Yeah and there’s another strange sound too. There’s an NPC I’ve seen out in New Austin desert or even north of Valentine which exactly looks like Samuel L. Jackson. I’ve started talking with him and I got pretty sure that he has worked for RDR2. But now I have doubts, maybe it’s like the Trevor one. Since the NPC (who is always riding a horse) is an outlaw, he really doesn’t have the nerves to talk with you so it’ll easily lead to tensions. Like to see who is behind this impatient black one-eyed man. 👌🏻

I don't think of it in that way, I think of it as R* wanted to honor him so much, that they ended the game on that man's name. Basically immortalizing his name as the name where RDR2's main story ended, and where the story of RDR1 starts/gets going

Hey! Do you have the opportunity to find out more about John's daughter? in RDR1 when he talk to Bonnie he tells she that he had a daughter who died .. Before RDR2 was released I was almost sure that you would find out something about John's daughter .. But nothing .. Has Rockstar just sorted out the daughter or have they forgotten the still quite important detail ..? I sincerely hope that it will be possible to get an answer to that .. I have always assumed that John and Abgail had the baby after RDR2. It doesn't make much sense to me that John and Abgail would have a baby between Chapter 6 and epilogue 1 because their always traveling and on the run. But after RDR2 they think their safe, so they decided to try for a baby. It would have been nice if after you finish the game theres some dialogue where Abgail comes up to you at Beechers Hope and tells John she wants to try and have another child as its one of the few big loose ends that hasn't been tied.

Me personally, I think it happened some time after Arthur died, before the epilogue. If I'm not mistaken, the epilogue takes place 7/8 years after 1899. And in the epilogue, John's horse's name is Rachel. Maybe he named the horse after his daughter? 🤔 And it was easier for people to get sick and die back in those days. So I think she got sick somehow when she was only a baby. Just my opinion

@@DeeJayThaKing27 I think it's just one of those things they forgot cause the dialogue is very much missable (I didn't even know about it until now and I've 100%ed that game and had 3 playthroughs) so I'd say you might be right. But I'd say that yes she probably died at the ages of 1-5 because if she had died soon before the epilogue Abigail in particular would've been in pieces (just look how she was when Jack was taken by the Braithwates)

@@outdater9302 True, that's a good observation. Abigail would be torn. But maybe they don't talk about it cause it's too painful, kinda like they did with John and Arthur. John said it hurt too much to talk about Arthur and they used that as an excuse to why he wasn't mentioned in rdr1.

Btw, I keep finding a body on a rock near Annesburg in red dead online, there's a prompt to check corpse but I'm not sure what happened to the person, there's a bunch of blood leading down the hill towards the body on a rock. Looks like the grass is also flattened like there was some sort of rock slide or something but there's also a circle of burned trees at the top of the hill.

Hey since you know lots about these games, what are your thoughts on the Expanded and Enhanced version of GTA 5? It really seems like they are trolling everyone. Their first trailer used PS3 footage.
