Hey Ram is an amazing movie. Kamal's acting is top notch. The scene where the movers drop the piano from the second floor after Ranis death is etched in my memory.
Bro, andaz apna apna was a flop at the box office but later on after an year, when there was no movie to release in theaters the producers released the film again and this time it became a huge hit at the box office So yeah the audience recognized this masterpiece at the end
Muqbool surprised me the most, since I've already seen countless adaptations of it by brilliant actor-director duos; and yet the rawness and brilliance of it really impressed me. I think people will enjoy it more if they already know the story of if Macbeth.
Today only I watch the part 1 .. I'm really surprised cause u mentioned " Aaranya kandam" 😮 My favourite flim ..but still that's underrated 😑... Loved those episode waiting part 4 😅💥
Bro what about Maaveeran... it's unique superhero film which deserves so much more love... atleast for its out of the box concept... ( Know that it is a box office success but it is less popular among the audience. Just wanted to say as you mentioned original Indian Superheroes)
Even I didnt understand why raunaq missed maveeran. It was an awesome film felt very fresh with neat comedy and all commercials elements perfectly placed. Safe to say it belongs to that set of films which travel with you no matter how many times we watch them.
Seems like you forgot to mention "Swadesh" , this movie failed at the box office, but till date I consider this movie as one of the finest movies ever made❤

I'd add "Maaveeran", the 2023 Tamil film to the list of truly Indian superhero films. An understated granular narrative, rooted in the local culture, focused stakes, an original voice (literally and figuratively; you'll understand when you see it), music that's part of the story and technically quite extraordinary in the staging of the fight scenes. A film that blends the offbeat and mainstream beautifully. Do check it out.
Minnal Murali isn't original. It's adaption of Inuyashiki, a Japanese anime. From characters getting power, their personality , plot points are quite similar. Although I will give them credit of being not so direct. People really fail to notice how much South Indian movies take huge inspiration from East Asian media.
kabhi haan kabhi naa is a really calming movie (its my fav), Bahvesh Joshi, i wante dto watch the film but could not find a threater that was running the film. Manoroma i lost patience too early, later realized its a really good film

Glad you mentioned the Cult Classic movie Hey Ram.. Its criminally Underrated and as per my opinion, the movie should have won the Palme d'Or in Cannes Film Festival.. Kamal Haasan's Masterclass as a Actor, Director & Writer in this movie makes this movie a must watch and a Masterpiece!!!
