Current Lariat is a better instrument cluster IMO. Will miss having both ‘analog’ gauges, as RPM is just a vertical bar. And when MyView is showing, on the right, the digital speed slides left and it seems you lose the ‘analog’ speedometer. The temp and fuel just look they were made ‘big’ just to fill the space.
I liked the Mavericks and prev gen Tacoma for a reason. It’s was simple, mostly analog. Don’t like any of these changes at all. Not even talking about price increases, I wouldn’t change from my current Maverick to the newer one. How does Ford keep screwing this vehicle up?!? It was a nice affordable truck with no crazy frills. Smh.
Thanks Tim. Your videos are always well done and informative. Any chance in the future you may have a Mach-E Monday video? Would love to see more content on that vehicle.
Do you know, will the Maverick hold the "last setting" for the drive modes? I hate having to set it every time I start the truck! I don't buy the excuse Ford gave 2 years ago, saying it is that way because of the laws regarding EPA fuel mileage estimates. My wife's Rav4 hold the mode setting, pretty sure since it's sold in the US, it has to comply with the same laws.....
@stevemohl30 No, that would have changed. You might get an option to choose to have the last seeing like my Bronco does. But you have to be quick to hit okay on the steering button when it says do you want to resume whatever drive mode you are in. Because it is an upgraded system it is possible.
Asking about the Maverick hybrid awd ability to flat tow. I received a document from Ford that states the 2025 hybrid awd can indeed be flat towed. He you receive updated information as well?
@@edwardthorne7767 Ford did not let dealers know the official word on that. They were waiting for the engineers to give it the official before adding the information. I found out from the Maverick Brand Manager on Tuesday and mentioned it in my livestream that night.
I can't wait until the day everyone is sick of fingerprint covered screens and we go back to physical buttons with very minimal or even no screens in vehicles. Oh, and headlights that aren't blinding to everyone besides the driver.
Golly Ford's screens are extremely outdated. That production screen gives you near nothing in terms of info. The management of what goes where is severely lacking. Looks like something that came on cars 15 years ago.
