Good morning Greg hope your having an amazing day. Wow this is beautiful and omg the fish are so beautiful too. Definitely have really good water quality for that many koi. Greg your such an awsome person the simple small gestures of kindness for going to give them some products for their pond to make it better is so awsome of you to do that for them. It shows how much you care about clients and your products that your willing to give them something for free for being kind enough to allow you to film them and for buying your products and becoming life long customers. Its awsome to see homeowners that really love their fish and don't want to part with none of them even if they have too many. The names for the koi are definitely hilarious. Hope you have an amazing week Greg and ill see you next video like always. Blessings to you and your beautiful family

They will convert the ammonia and nitrites into nitrates. But without plants to suck up the nitrates they should build up to the point that you get an algae bloom. I accept that the two bio falls seem to be sufficient, but I don’t understand how.

Wow did they end up with so many babies? My koi always eat all the eggs and i rarely get any babies after 3 years, ive only got 1 baby koi. Goldfish seem to have way better luck. Im not sure why

What about insects? Guess the fish get em? Where I'm from there'd be one landing in it every 30 seconds

Wow! What do you do with all of the fish? I haven't encountered this problem yet, but I know overcrowding due to reproduction is inevitable. My best idea I have had is to feed the tosai and goldfish fry to my cat.

That is a beautiful pond! My question is: what type of mechanical filtration do you have? I think the intake bay will skim off any floating matter, leaves, etc., which you should be able to net out easily before it breaks down. But what else? Biological filtration is everywhere, every surface of every stone, gravel, plants taking up nutrients. Is there any type of biomedia involved in this setup? Or UV or IonGen usuage or other equipment. Just curious. Pond looks amazingly clear in full sun with a good amount of koi! Again, just beautiful 😍

I don't understand how this pond can have 100 fish, no water plants, and no bog filter, and still be algae free. Where are all the nutrients going? Frequent water changes?

If you watch the video again, where the contractor takes the camera he’s explaining that The Pond has two bio Falls.

Aqauscapes auto dosing system XT with "maintain". I have 19 koi in a 2800 pond. Crystal clear healthy pond. I also turn my pond over 2 xs an hour. 2 aerator and a spillway bowl that gives oxygen and also acts as a biological filter along with my biofalls.

With no plants? I’m impressed! But can someone explain to me where the nitrates go if there are no plants to consume them? (Are there bacteria that can convert nitrates to N2 gas?)
