Here it is! Our follow-up to the dark side Orders that rivaled the Sith, this time looking at eight light side Orders that rivaled the Jedi. This video was highly requested recently, so I hope that you all enjoy it! Oh, and only ONE WEEK until Thrawn: Alliances! :)

Not to mention the Jal Shey. Where they lie in what side of the force they follow I am not sure, but as they seem to detest war and are good at negotiating arguments and conflicts, I assume they are lightsiders as well. On Wookieepedia, in the history of the Jal Shey, there was a mention of a separate group called the Mabari, which though they were a warrior group, might also have been lightsiders.

@JmanJoshua
@JmanJoshua 5 лет назад
Yeah but truthfully the Jedi had one point wrong. The thought that the dark side was morally wrong. The force itself is alive. It has a will I guess and if it connects to both the dark and the light users then the Jedi can go play God and deem what the forces will is. I see why the Jedi could never see that older 66 was coming. Because they didn't serve the force they used the force to serve themselves. The force dosent care if you light in heart or dark it just flows and connects so in reality forget the jedi.

@@levongevorgyan6789 The one you referring to of the Baran Do happy enough to meet with Luke and Jacen is brand new & reformed Jedi Order of the post-galactic civil war republic newly reformed..... not the old order of the Old Republic. ______________________________________________ It's Luke's Jedi that're friendly to these other light-side orders.... &, unless I miss my guess, Luke didn't discover The Fallanassi until somewhere after the newly formation of the Luke's reformed Jedi Order as well as the New Republic!

@@levongevorgyan6789Still.... from my P.O.V. The Jedi more like the European Christians version of West Boro Church of Force users.... hubris, bigoted, & self-righteous. Even though, to be good-sporting fair.... 'The Jedi' also of course, at the same time.... that in spite of them be as it may aren't perfect, they do most have done something right to bring about 1000yrs of relative peace. jedi just discouraged this types of groups to keep order and that's it. That they weren't exactly purging them or anything like that.... just cause they weren't right 100% of the time in their methods, it's just them misguilded in them. I admit that they weren't... exactly say, trying to kill other light-siders.... just mostly persuade and convert, & really they don't go out of their way to kill every other force user that wasn't the Jedi, or at the least, not intentionally.

@@TheGoldenWildcat And you are wrong. Bigoted? Only against nut jobs that like killing people for fun. Self Righteous? Hubristic? Compared to the Sith, they are nothing. It truly is a shame that the Zeison Sha, the Matukai, and Jensaarai never got further development in the novels or comics. It would have been cool to see these groups fight the Vong or Krayt's Sith in the Legacy era.

Spot on. The Je'daii order, a precursor to both Jedi and Sith, were cognizant of all aspects of the force, and avoided going to far to the light or the dark (even sending its members to opposing temples to meditate if they were becoming too immersed in one or the other), but when they split the groups they became embraced either the Light or the Dark and largely forgot the middle. Anakin destroyed the Jedi order that had become corrupt, then destroyed the Sith, and the only remaining "Jedi" was more like a gray Jedi as he refused to be consumed by the dark but frequently made use of the dark side of the force (as could be seen when he force-choked a gamorrean and in other content used force lightning), was less dogmatic, and even went against his mentors (both Obi and Yoda expected him to kill Vader, but he overpowered him in a dark side rage but then turned away from it) who were certainly pleasantly surprised given their force ghosts at the end of Episode 6.

The Aing-Tii are easily my favorite group of those eight. There is just something extremely cool about powers involving time and space. The Matukai would be number two on my list because they are an order that isn't interested in only those with a strong connection to the Force, but is also open to weaker Force-users. Of these my favorite are the Zeison Sha. Matthew St. Cyr It was specifically the Druids, the religious, priestly caste of the pagan Celts, who had an oral tradition. They considered it profane to record their religious traditions. While the ogam writing system was used, usually for grave markers and other things of that nature, among the Gaelic and Brythonic Celts of Ireland and Britain prior to the introduction of the Latin alphabet in the 4th century, the average Celt was illiterate, as were most other average people of other cultures of the time whereas the higher or more noble classes did have some literary ability. Hey! I love your video's (and especially the end parts lol) and was wondering where the Grey fell in all this. Were they that of pure balance as I have been led to believe? Or were they more like the Je'dii in their philosophy and views apon the force?

If there's anybody in Star Wars that could express an opinion that would actually matter outside of the movers and shakers of this thing. It'd be this guy even though I didn't find the light side group that he highlighted as interesting as he did. It did cause me to perk up just a little bit more. Always great buddy thanks

Always interesting to see the different ways the light side of the force could be used. The dark side is very direct it’s powers, the light side definitely has some unexplored opportunities.

Favorite Force Orders: Jenessaarai, Tyia, Findsmen, Matukai, and the Fallanassi. Not necessarily in that order.

You should do a video of light and dark side orders other than the Jedi and sith that rivel each othe. And a video of light side organizations that survived order 66. That vader didn't know about. Or Care.

I love you, dude. I really do, but I need to ask you the same question I ask my friends whenever Jedi-or-Sith conversations come up: "Why not jensaari?"
@Solician5

That was awesome. Do you think there are enough to do a video on Force traditions that were either neutral in the light an dark, or that saw the light/dark as a false dichotomy?

I always wished that this stuff was used for a movie or something. A modern Jedi and modern Sith who strays from their traditional views being more interested in their respective opposite sides to gain more knowledge and power while also remaining align in their own force side or at least turning ‘grey’ (balance) in their learning.

Of all those Orders, it was the JEDI who stopped the Sith time and again. It was the Jedi who, despite their persecution at hte hands of the galaxy, stopped the Yuuzhan Vong. It was the Jedi who fought tooth and nail to stop Abeloth from destroying the Galaxy. The Jedi were the heroes, these other groups barely did anything. Hell, the Fallanassi even became puppets of Abeloth.
