While some Western Turkish cities might draw resemblances to some Balkan countries such as Bulgaria and Greece. By and large, Turkey is very vast and the overwhelming majority of the country has more cultural similarities with Syria, Iran and Lebanon than the Balkans, least of all Eastern Europe. Your aversion to the Middle Eastern culture doesn't change the reality of the country.

To claim that Turkey is merely Balkan/European and not Asian/Middle Eastern is incorrect and delusional. Egypt is partly in Asia (sinai ) but it’s mainly in Africa. You don’t hear people say Egypt is asian and not african because a small part is in Asia. It’s basic geography.
