This McFit Method Workout is a 8 Minute Kettlebell Workout.
It is in the Tabata format, which is 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds rest.
You will continue this for 8 cycles, and then repeat for 2 rounds.

*By functional I mean you can comfortably swing or carry it **bestgym.equipment** around as one would expect of a kettlebell weight. By versatile I mean the protective coating does not prevent attaching magnetic micro-plates to increase the weight, so, for example, a 35 pound kettlebell can be increased by up to 5 pounds in weight or possibly a bit more by attaching magnetic micro-plates.*

McFit, I just found your channel. Thank you. I’m a 31 year old man who weighs 370+ lbs. Though I was only able to finish 4 mins of the workout, I’m not discouraged. Great workout. A suggestion for future videos: If the text saying what the next exercise is could appear earlier, eg. still in the rest 10 secs, rather than only once you've started the movement and the 20 seconds commence, it would be much easier for me to follow along. With this one, I had to get my teenage daughter to keep pressing pause/unpause. She happily ogled your physique for the 10 minutes, but I won't always have her around when I work out ;P

Wow, that was intense! Was freezing out today, so didn't feel like going to the gym, but I have kettlebell in my living room. Just did it, and it really creeps up on ya. Great stuff man.

Great workout! Just what I needed to change it up on my off days. Quick question: I noticed that you used the same weight kettlebell throughout the workout. Would it be ok to change up the weights depending on the exercise? Or is the idea to get the heart rate way up and keep it there for the duration of the workout? Thank you again!

Can this noticibly increase muscle mass within a few months? If so then how often would be recommended to increase the workout length and/or weight in order to get good gains? (Already a skinny guy, just want a stronger body). Cheers!

Great workout, but would be helpful if it was indicated what move was coming up next in the 10 second break, not at the same time the move commences.

What is the rationale for taking the bell to head height during the swing?

Over the head is considered "American" kettlbell swings within Crossfit. The option to go just to eye level is considered "russian" KB swings and is more appropriate for heavier weight

I would suggest 53# for the KB Swings and Squats. Then 35# for the single area movements

His form on the first exercise, the kettlebell swing is bad. If the momentum takes you past parallel, regardless of how far, that is fine. But he's doing what I see a lot of crossfitters do, the momentum takes them to parallel, then they continue to push the kettlebell up with their shoulders. WRONG! This puts a high load and strain on your lower back. Bad form dude.

Yeh, reduce your weight so that you can do all of these moves with relative ease, I suggest you look up kettlebell techniques, you can really hurt yourself if you haven't got the technique down right with heavier weight so always start low enough that its easy to control.

Why do people make RU-vid videos when they are clueless as to how to use kettlebells? Poorly executed kettlebell swings, no understanding of how to snatch a bell, and is begging to hurt his lower back when he lowers the bell to the ground. Sad.

Can Bodybuilders just stay away from Kettlebells already ?? They never know what they're doing and give bad and false information to people who watch them... Also they always use light Kettlebells because they have no idea how to properly handle them.

Pat Wonder thanks for the reply. I don’t agree. Some routines require specific work, kettlebell routines especially. If these videos were going to be really helpful (at least to an unfit 42 year old like me) they would take the viewer from coming cold, warming up, doing the routine, and then warming down and stretching off, or whatever it is that the trainer thinks the whole routine requires. Otherwise it isn’t really an 8 minute workout and it isn’t of use to the majority of viewers. Helpful as far as it goes but it doesn’t go far enough. It achieves the “8 minute” label at the expense of being more useful.
