Elden Ring is my first souls type of game, and I played my first playthroughwith the typical strength Guts build, but now am trying your “lighting god” build and it’s so much fun!

For the lightning build heres some recommendations, bolt of gransax bc that thing will 1 shot majority of enemies and deal huge amounts of damage to bosses, guardian spear-sword dance with electrified armorment for the weeeeeee, and finally golden great shield bc it youll be able to tank hits. Plus it looks cool. Overall youll have any tool for any situation and can think of creative ways to poke everything to ded

Gravity Samurai is def my favorite. Super fun

Personally, my flail build is a DEX-focused lightning infusion because very few enemies resist both lightning and blunt giving it a very high damage floor.

That’s wiiiiild. Gravity Samurai was literally my build when I first started. It got me through most of the game until I unlocked frost magic and weapons. Then I was the Cold, Dark Edge of the Cosmos.

Tommorow i will finally have PC bought with my hard earned money that can run new games and i think of going dex/int power stance katanas for the frost/bleed for my 1st play throu and to also use those cool looking giant blue bow spells and the moonlight greatsword when i get it

on my current playthrough i'm doing a Death Knight build with Nigth cavaly set, Helphen's Steeple sword, death sorceries. Sword of night and flame would be good with death sorceries (both faith/int scaling) but it's not a black item plus it makes the game easy with it's ash of war.

Honestly, going meta is pretty boring Like I thought I was gonna go into DLC with my insanely powerful spellblade build, but I’m thinking I should maybe re spec, just go back to the basic sword and shield build The reason I went for the OP spellblade build is because on my previous playthrough, I did just a regular Bastard Sword with no affinity, a Banished Knight Shield with Carian Retaliation, and again, no affinity, and a Black Bow And I STRUGGLED, but it wasn’t until I realized I’d forgotten I was on NG+2 and I hadn’t done any stat boosting or prepping before boss fights, that I also realized why my build wasn’t hot shit, I didn’t do enough to keep up with the spike in difficulty…because I’m a dumbass So for this fresh game I’m on, not NG+ I think I’ll just re spec over to Bastard Sword, Banished Knight Shield and Black Bow again The build is decent, like, it’s not OP as hell, but it’s also not anything to scoff at Yeah I was dumb and didn’t do any prep work, I still first attempted Malenia, Maliketh and Godfrey despite the difficulty spike and weakness of my base kit build Plus, I’m just doing a fresh game to prepare myself for the DLC coming soon Basic Knight shall rise again!

My build I'm using at the moment is called "captain cock cheese" its basically a strength build that uses a great sword with the charge attack items, just break stance then full charge r2. Super basic but i love it
