Some great ideas here. Love the meal delivery idea. I think it works better to do one dinner a night that people can buy instead of doing a la carte and have to cook different meals every night. Making money with a business has always revolved around either distribution or product. You can make money with the distribution; being able to promote products through a blog, YT channel or social media. You can make money with a product, creating courses and other products to promote. Of course, more work but best route is to grow both sides. Start your own distribution through a blog and channel but also put together you own products so you're not reliant on affiliate commissions.
Great video Marina! I can totally attest that online world is full of opportunities. Although like someone said earlier, majority of people won't change their lives as easily. It's inspiring to see a lot of young people to just go and DO. There is certainly a lack of ambition, zest and action in the 30-40-year olds +. I think if there is no business around a meal prep marketplace at the moment, it's because of the risks and regulations. Cooking someone's food is highly regulated and controlled (varies between states) and if a "cook" you matched with a customer accidentally food poisons your customer or sets his house on fire you are in for a ride you won't enjoy. The pricing is also extremely hard to get right as when a match is done, nothing prevents your cook and your customer to continue doing business without your platform, Homejoy closed mostly because of this reason (and a bunch of lawsuits). I think as a marketplace it's super risky but it might work with some twists like delivering healthy lunch boxes to employees once a week for example.
