Hi, im a 62 yr old recently retired guy. I was a blue collar worker and never really dressed much. Im looking to build a wardrobe and am glad I found the style OG for tips.
I will suggest you start with a lot of neutrality and classic styles and build your way up , it’s really advisable not to wear clothes that does not fit properly, always try them on and if it feels good then it’s perfect for you , I suggest you look at others that u love how they dress and build from there as well
My go to, is dark denim straight cut jeans. I donated all of my boot cut. Also picked up a few different colored chinos. I get compliments all the time now. Thanks Jeff!
Thanks for putting out these style options. I’ve retired from a job where I was required to wear a uniform for the past almost thirty years. Lately I’ve been wearing athletic wear which kinda continued the uniform look because I’m matching the jacket with the pants Puma pants with Puma shirt Adidas Under Armor and so on. I’m thinking about wearing more casual dress wear. The options that you’re talking about have opened my mind up to how to put an outfit together that isn’t just an athletic uniform look. Thanks I appreciate what you’re doing.
Being 5'1" everything has to be tailored. Jos. A. Bank is my go-to stylist. The Tiege Hanley skincare for men is excellent. I wasn't expecting 7 pieces in the kit, worth the cost 10/10. Salute!
#9 bonus pair for the work from home guy, a pair of comfortable pajama pants. No one but your family and the Amazon driver will ever see them, and they allow you to alternate with your usual pair of shorts that you pair with that business casual shirt.
Thrown off by TWO things in this video! First, cargo pants making the list and second, chinos not being first on the list! Style O.G. zigged when I thought he’d zag! 😄 Thanks for keepin’ it fresh in 2021!
I was thinking “drawstring trouser 🤔, that’s not for me. “. That’s is until I saw the elastic waist! Now I don’t know how I have been living without these! Thanks brother! Learn someone new everyday! Thank you again!
My favorites are dark denim, and chinos. That covers most situations. But, after a hard day at work, or to work out at the gym, I love to have several pairs of sweats available to lounge around in. I recently had surgery, so it's all I wore for a few weeks. Corduroy is very underrated. I love seeing guys wear black ones with the pleats in the front. Something very attractive about that particular style. I have an old soul, so it's a great look that I appreciate. Another great one Jeff, from a lady subscriber.
Spot on with some of these Jeff. Wool trousers are amazingly comfortable and warm in the winter. Plus, you can get different weights to suit all. I did try cargo slim fit trousers and must say they looked terrible on me as im only 5ft 7. They suit taller people more. Corduroy trousers are a hidden gem for the winter. Nice and warm.
you my friend are the most legit and true teacher. looking around some other guys on similar channels... they become very fake and clickbait. you're putting up real knowledge for us to grasp on. much appreciate your efforts! OG
I absolutely love herringbone trousers. I used to even have a herringbone suit years ago, and I'm not sure where it is, but yeah, herringbone is fantastic.
Style OG I have to thank you for the recommendation of Beckett Simonon although there were some mix ups I truly love my Chelsea's easy to put on and they are well made and comfortable. Thanks again and keep doing what you are doing.
What’s up my bro Og. Thanks for the tips on keeping the style family so fresh so clean. I. Recently picked up several pairs of drawstring trousers . Salute my friend
I was surprised when you mentioned the cargo pants. I got turned onto the Levi’s 502 cargo pants at the end of 2019. Since then, they have been my work day pants. They look and feel good.
I enjoyed this video! I'm also very surprised you mentioned cargo pants... the only ones I kept were from my Army days that I use for work projects around the house, but I get the more modern tailored look. Public Rec makes some GREAT athleisure trousers as well.
I wish I lived in a city where I guy had a place to dress up. It's simple out here, cowboy boots, hiking boots, Carhart shirts and and jeans is the best a guy, and gal will see out here. Anything more will make me stand out way too much they will think I'm from California. Looking for an outfit though for a high value vacation to Cabo then to Spain. Thanks for the tips.
Brother I love this video. It is hard shopping as a man and who has time to go online looking for stylish clothes to wear now. I love how you show the clothing on yourself in different colors Also the accessories you wore with the pants gave me some ideas for clothing for the upper body. Keep up the good work. Thanks
Good list, though I was a little surprised to see drawstring pants on it. My favorite pants are undoubtedly my wool flannel trousers. I have a number of different colors, but the one I wear the most are my grey houndstooth pair. Thanks!
SALUUUUUUTE OG🔥🔥🔥 I knew that it was in me to dress fly.. But I needed that push.. You have helped me to up my clothing game Tremendously... SAAAALUTE‼️Thanks My Brotha‼️
Jeff, if you have not already done so, could you do a video on footwear that can be worn when there is snow and ice on the ground for those of us who get snow and ice during the winter? I want to wear stylish footwear, but some shoes and boots are just not practical for walking with snow and / or ice on the ground. Thanks.
Never knew there were do many pant options. As of now I have 1 dark denim. A light denim. And a regular pair I wear to work. I have a question about leg length. Is it ok that I don't like my pants leg cuff to rise up when I sit down. I like my pants cuff to be a little longer so as not to show my socks when I sit. I also like the legs to be a little wider. Not tapered. I'm about to turn 40. Any advice us appreciated. Love the content
This is one of the rare times I disagree with the Style OG on something. (drawstring Trousers). Probably look good on most but I don't think they are for me.
