It’s so weird watching this now. Before Jodi, Ruby actually liked to have some fun and even joked around and had some fun with the kids. They are instructed to do so, and every LDS I know follows the instructions to the letter, sometimes more. The minimum varies from between 3 months to 1 year's worth of food and household supplies per family member (which includes First Aid Supplies, toiletries, feminine hygiene products, and TP). Most LDS I know stockpile for a year's worth per family member. More, if they intend to assist neighbours and friends as well during a food/supply shortage That include sacks of wheat - the raw seeds, not flour or coarsely milled. Sharis' reference for this being a test: I believe what she is alluding to is that this (Covid) is a test to see just how prepared people are for the apocalypse/emergency food shortage. In my opinion, if this family was adhering to the LDS storage guidelines, the children should not even be concerned about having to buy food; there should be at least 3 month's supply of food and household supplies readily available in the pantry/storage area. Unless all they ever eat is bread (made from hand-milled wheat), peanut butter, and honey. That, or Ruby hauled out a sack of wheat, a jar of peanut butter, and a tub of honey, and locked the door to the pantry. From what I have learnt about this individual, I wouldn't put it past her.

Recently listened to podcast interview with a victim of jodie Hildebrandt. He made a comment " jodie taught that you must kill your current relationship, so a new birth of a better one can happen". So jodie would use mormon teachings againgst them. Preying on the relationships where there were porn addictions , masturbation etc... and teaching to break down the relationship in order to get the one they want. Its obvious ruby was brainwashed by jodies teachings she was likely suggested to go to jodie, for Chad the son. Then kevin and ruby were probably told by bishop to also receive couples therapy. Once jodie realized she was able she targeted ruby to mold her into a mini me jodie clone. For her ConneXions squad of ladies . The man interviewed described it as jodie trying to build mlm type clones so that she was able to sit back and get money.

I was watching another channel that stated the police had been to the house 19 times. The little kids were left alone for 5 days . And there's also a creepy tiktok of Ruby's sister Julie telling her little girl to wear lipstick / colored lip gloss because her cousin Russell will be there. The little girl didn't want it until she heard he was going to be there. Who encourages a child to like their cousin in that way? Ruby defended the video saying they are 8th cousins. How is your sister's kid a 8th cousin?

Now this isn’t an excuse but from what I think is ruby was raised in this belief system but personally I don’t think she really wanted to live that way. The more she tried to ignore it the worse it got on those kids. I don’t think she really ever wanted the children and husband but her religion told her she had too. I think she sought out the social media because it gave her kind of the glimpse outside of that small Mormon box. That’s why she didn’t care about making money off of her kids. Then she met her match,Jodi. Jodi who claims to be a professional meets a woman who is already confused. And she went all in on it because this woman validated the severity of abuse to those kids. Just an observation. I don’t really think Kevin had much to do really with it. I think it’s the typical wait till your father gets home from work and her distorted view is what was told to him and then she met Jodi who Toby began to push him out and alienate him.
