There needs to be a requirement upon signing a recording contract that an artist MUST attend mandatory financial literacy and budgeting responsibility classes to learn how to make payments on time. If they miss a set number of payments they are automatically dropped from the label.

Broke or not, this made me sad. I really wish there were more people in the industry and outside of it too that would look out for these guys and have their best interest at heart. But that's unlikely because everyone would rather hype them up on some stuff like "they're young, let them do what they want" smh. Leasing is the right thing to do. Use other people's money. The items like cars will depreciate anyway, so no point buying outright if it's going to loose value. Houses different, if you're living in a house then it's earning money it's costing money so better you rent the house and buy another house and rent that one and make passive income of it forget basically or you borrow money on that house and buy something else to invest in and the whole time the property is gaining value as house prices go up over the long long term. The problem with these rappers is that they rent houses that they can't afford over the long term because their income disappears when they are not flavour of the month anymore. They spend out more than there is coming in for status but their true status is much less than the image they put out.
