This car has always, and will continue to be my favourite forever. Right now I own a Subaru WRX. It's got good power, it handles really well, it's fun, and sounds amazing. I can't help but giggle like a school girl when going around tight bends at the top end of second, and hearing the scream of a boosted boxer with the rumble of unequal length headers trailing off the underside. But the sound and look of a 440 'Cuda, with those sexy curves, and massive cams and nothing holding back the intense sound of power bellowing from the exhaust is irreplaceable. I don't care if it takes me 50 years. I will have my 1971 440 'Cuda one day.
man,i listened to that monster with my headphones on with full volume and it is MASSIVE. when i hear it with headphones at full volume it pumps me up with adrenaline and makes me want to SCREAM.
One of the best audio+video presentations out of thousands I've seen, and as someone who enjoys racing myself, it really conveys the experience as well as the format allows. Outstanding
MrRacenut14 absolutely nothing I think the new street out laws fastest in America should start lining up against cars like this at a track we’re they know if you red lighted or not also most mopars with hemis are all 8 second cars now and a lot of them are just as streetable as the street outlaws I hate the show but would like to see if they would be a match with all these 8 second mopars out ther
Not a whole lot of shifting goin on. Air shifter hooked up to the msd box. Mash pedal and go ...shift at a certain RPM every time. makes for more consistency.
That cockpit view on launch, is the best represention of actually being in a high hp drag car. Your eyeballs literally do what that camera did bouncing all over and struggling to focus while your brain tries to catch up to the speed of the car. Go MOPAR
All my friends had magnum 4 barrell cars mopars....i acvidentlly put a B M shift improver kit ...in street strip mode...suddenly everyone talking about my transmission an want to ride in a 2 barrell car.....it blew me away to.....it was in funny car mode i spun the rear so fast at 5 miles an hour i locked the non posi unit an melted the 2 skinny shitty stock generals on to the rear quarters with 160 hp 318 2 barrell motor with 112 000 miles on it...thanks BM .. I did add headers so may be i was at 200hp....B n M did all the work wow.
From what I've seen of the 405 cars very few would be considered street cars where I live you could not put license on them or drive them around doing day to day business.
Most folks dont know this...too young...but 70 cudas an 70 challengers debuted as the body of the 1970 dodge an plymouth funny cars.. so the first time the new challenger was ever seen it was on then 250 mph funny car in 1969...u may know the name the snake Don Prudome he showed the world the first E body cuda challenger as a funny car race 2500hp drag car if u wonder why their legacy is so...around drag racing thats why...nice hemi orange aar cuda
I see this car has been modified a little bit, beyond a stock AAR Cuda. Just a little.. It looks very mild-mannered and would probably make a good daily driver. As long as there were no other cars on the road with you..
What's it got for an engine combo? Pete Farber ran low 7's 25yrs ago w/a blown alcohol late 70's Dodge Stepside pickup before he ran the 70' Daytona in Pro Mod. Kept breaking transmissions on the truck though. Was still awesome as heck to see it run though. :-)
very nice old school pro stock look with new style up grade build low and mean transfers better great job that had to be your first or sec pass on the car as you can let the revs come up higher then launch better 60 ft great all they way.
2:57 - The tree is lit and he goes for a sled ride 3:32 - He shuts it down on the return for a cool down and a fresh plug read back in the pits 4:20 - He checks his texts to see if his wife gave birth yet.
There is a guy over here in England that has an old Chevy - a '57 or something = that he uses on the road as street legal, that has the legend '8 seconds' on the number plate (registration plate for you Americans). The car will do a standing quarter in the mid to high eights - it has a rotary blower on it and it shows 1500+ BHP and about 1800 ftlbs..... I have built my Harley twincam into a 113 inch making over 130bhp and 125ftlbs and it is such a buzz watching things get smaller and smaller in the mirror as I pull away from the traffic lights - though dissapointing when I get left behind by a sports bike or supercar !
that is no 8 sec cuda. thats more like 7:30 if 8 sec is what that does the driver needs to get fire. unless that is a just a pass. but that fish is fast. that big hemi should be able to take that fist to the high 6s.
Thats the way a car should leave none of that bouncing shite nice smooth...im laughing because that was over in a hurry....i was just enjoying the beautifull launch and u went 1200 fast an shut off thats a pro car so sweat....nice....nice run....well done...nice launch nice run thank u
Where is the timeslip 8.1 or 8.9🤔 not really impressive when you think this is a all-out drag car! You want to see something impressive RU-vid" Randy Jackson Mustang pass time"💪
