@@paulisaacs5980 Thanks Paul that's very useful info. Just a request for a possible future update, is there a possibility to have a sub menu option for glitz tone built in a per 6 series so it can be a default. Speaking as a UK mixer it's standard to send glitz tone on live setups to ensure everyone downstream is on the same page.

@@jimblanche You can already make it default. Just go to the Toggle Switch Menu and change the default tone toggle to L-Ident.

Here's an example: Route Mix R to analog output X1 which will be your IFB feed to producer/director etc. Do this from the X1 output routing menu. (Tip: you can program a shortcut to this X1 output routing menu using Menu+PFL or do it from any controller). In the X1 routing menu, also set the stop auto mute box. It will not mute automatically when you stop recording on X1 only. If your boom op is on X2, it wont mute. To unmute during rehearsal simple do your shortcut to X1 output routing menu and hit the Fav toggle (to unmute). Or you could record the rehearsal then hit False Take. You can do all this from Sd-Remote app too.

@@paulisaacs5980 thank you Paul. However, as you can imagine, on X1, I send a bus in which there is also Mix L (aka booms and plant mics). And I'd like it to be hearable anytime. Ideally, a parametrable actuator on the cl16 that i could program to check/uncheck the "mute when not recording" box on a specific output, with a ring of light to monitor the status would be a much simpler solution from a user perspective. I could then feed the IFB with two outputs with a Y cable, and easily put X1 down with it's level actuator or the hypothetical specific mute actuator. Aaton Cantar X3 allows easily that due to the presence of an intermediate position between stand-by and rec (the pre-record position). You just have to check mute on the selected bus on test position and check unmute for pre-rec (rehearsals or specific demands) and rec.

Make sure you charge the TC battery. Details in the user guide.

You do this from Dante Controller. Then the 8-series will hold and store the static IP even without a computer in the network even after power cycling.
