You're so right about the pores and skin care FIRST... At 55, I'm finally getting my pores and deep wrinkles to lessen in appearance because of the better skin care I'm doing over the last 3 years. I used to moisturize only. Duh. Now, I have a Curology tretinoin prescription, use sun screen every single day, and use an AHA/BHA a couple of nights a week. Man, such an amazing difference! Thanks Elle!
@@user-ez2bs3fq1x Just work through finding your personal concoction, what vibes for you... you'll get there. The AHA/BHA from Naturium has an amazing time release design so it doesn't cause irritation (I can put it on my neck without any problem),and you can get it at Target! You'll get there...😊😎
Thank you Elle. I’m 60 and the pores/texture that is now showing on my skin is driving me crazy. I’ve almost given up on makeup because it looks so much worse! I will try pressing in primer and see how that goes. Love your tutorials!
I have been doing consistent skincare with all of these ingredients for about two years now and I can vouch for them working! Even my dentist, with his magnifying glasses, says he’s never seen someone my age with such a tight pore structure. Thanks Elle!! ❤️
Just wanted to let you know I enjoy watching & learning from, you’ve taught me plenty, even at 60, thinking I was doing a good, (or at least okay), job with makeup & most importantly, as you say, skin care!! I really didn’t take care of my skin AT ALL after losing my daughter couple years ago but am trying to “up my game,” I believe you’ve put it. You’re a beautiful young woman, keep bringing your abundance of knowledge & HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you & your family 😊
I scored a Beauty Blender The Leveler primer at TJ Maxx for $8 last night lol. I love the educational stuff you provide! When you started putting primer on I was like she’s putting that over her makeup? No Julie she’s just got gorgeous skin and it looks like she’s flawless BEFORE makeup 💕
I finally got my large pores to go into remission a while ago 🙌 🙌 Thank you Elle for the knowledge you have given, there are so many things I have learned from you over the years that have have Always stuck with me!! ❤❤
So happy I found your channel just about a year ago. I have learned so much and have a new confidence in how I care for my skin. I know that I am using good products that work right for me and not simply giving in to marketing!
Thank you so much for all of your advice. As a cosmetologist who did not specialize in skin, I appreciate your education. Also, I'm 55 and dealing with fine lines...a lot!
I never thought about using the FINISHING powder then setting spray before applying the foundation! The left side of your face where you did this technique was absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you. Going to try it today!
I've been using the Peach & Lily Glass Skin serum for about 6 months now and I'm seeing an improvement in the look of my pores and texture. Vitamin C, moisturizer and SPF everyday is a must for me. Thank you for these informative videos!
My pores and fine lines are still a “work in progress”, so thank you Elle, for showing the two ways to apply foundation. I totally agree with you, everything starts with the skin care….. something I’ve done religiously for several years now, based on your recommendations! You are the best!
@@ElleLearyArtistry Hi Elle, so excited for my goodie bag, thank you. My email has been a little wonky lately, have you received my shipping info. Once again, thank you so much💜
Brushes can also cause micro-exfoliation. When I use a brush for blush and highlighter I press/tap. This was such a great video! Thank you for featuring AFFORDABLE products!
Thank you, Elle, these are excellent tips! I love how you always start with the importance of good skincare as a canvas for the makeup products you recommended. I’ve learned so much from you over the years and I truly appreciate your help.😘
I used to have my skincare figured out. Then menopause hit...🙄 Now I feel like I'm starting from square one with a whole new skin type and set of issues. I swear I can do the exact same skincare routine and have completely different results from day to day. I'm trying to keep consistent while I am also "putting out fires" on different areas of my face (not to mention other parts of my body 😟). So right not I feel like the best thing I can do is increase my knowledge so that I know what is out there product wise and when/how to use it. 🥴
I believe I have watched hundreds of your videos and I still manage to learn something new from you each time. You are the best. Thanks Elle for inspiring me each time I watch you. ❤️light and love
I have to tell you, not only do you give excellent information, but the way you break down the very important DETAILS, is just everything. The emphasis on not only pressing primers into the skin, but something I never hear anyone say, you said, and that is, WAIT a couple minutes after it's completely pressed into the skin, before applying foundation- piéce de resistance! Thank you so much for this information in such a complete way.
@@ElleLearyArtistry no, thank YOU! You're getting into such detail that I don't really hear too many others get into. I don't mean offense to anyone but you're just a little bit of a standout.
I never had visible pores until 2 or 3 years ago and suddenly they appeared on my cheeks close to either side of my nose. I just figured it was aging (47 here) I’m super happy there are steps I can take to minimize or eliminate it!
Have learned so much from you over the years of how to take care of my skin….thank you! Osmosis products have transformed my skin. I haven’t been using the Tatcha essence recently and that would be good for MN winter. Thank you for the great refresher!
Skincare first, I’ve noticed a huge difference in my skin since using the Osmosis skincare products my pores are almost invisible to the eye when applying my makeup, doesn’t matter which foundation I use I still get the same outcome, I don’t think I’ll ever go back to using anything else on my face now, it’s been a huge game changer for me. You would never know that you had large pores Elle, your skin is always beautiful 😍. Happy Holidays to you and your family, May 2022 bring you much happiness and blessings from Queensland Australia 🇦🇺🤶🏻🎅🏻🎄🎄🎄
I love you so much! My lupus and MS area screaming and have been (had to reschedule clients three times in the past 2 weeks) BUT I needed to watch some videos and get caught up! You always make me smile and I stress the ingredients so much with my clients; like you said they want them fixed instantly with a primer! Usually for brides I use the setting powder and spray, then makeup, then bridal spray after to make sure it’s not going anywhere! People swear their photos of the wedding and such are photoshopped! Nope, properly using skin care and application of makeup gives that look! I love you so! You’re sunshine in my day! 🙏💜🙏
I've known I should have a skincare regimen, just haven't had the budget. But too I had no idea really about what I needed to do? Tyvm for laying this all out as well as suggestions as to what to get. ❤️ Intrigued by the powder before foundation. I have quite a few powers & just checked & have no baked powders. 😢 I have a wishlist a mile long & a very minimal makeup budget.
Great tips!!! I so wish I lived in your area! Would be amazing to be a client of yours. I'll definitely be trying these techniques. I've learned so much watching your channel. Your so informative and explain things so well. Thank you for all you do. ❤
I have been using IT CC Illumination. Noticed with new light's in my bathroom it seems 2 b of a yellow tone. I am fair and need a beige/pink tone. Can't wait to go to Ulta and get something else. Thank you for the tips. U r so beautiful💝
I have pitted acne scars that look like enlarged pores or small holes. When I use foundation , it enhances the holes and makes them stand out . Any advice ?
I have very oily skin, and I am wrinkling (age 49). I have to use a BHA 1 or 2 times per week in order to keep my acne & blackheads at bay. Then I do use the techniques above, but I put a layer of setting spray after sunscreen to ensure it doesn't pill and keeps the oils at bay during the day.
Awesome video ! Super helpful I’m so overwhelmed love inkey list and the ordinary but sometimes I end up with 6 bottles of confused sitting on a shelf…this was a good break down of info
Hi Elle!! Informative as always! This video came at a perfect time!! I'm struggling with pores and fine lines!! With the holidays coming I want to look my best, but didn't know how to get my skin under control!! I'm trying these tips today!! Thank you so much!!
I am 61 from the Philippines. I am excited to try your tips. I have oily skin so I will try the primer followed by baked powder and setting powder and finally foundation
This is very helpful. I struggle with silicone primers, which include most of the “pore filling” versions, as they tend to increase the extent to which foundation gathers in lines and wrinkles. How does one hydrate adequately with essence, vitamin C serum, niacinamide serum, and then a moisturizer with sunscreen without having such a slippery/heavy base under the primer and make up? I use thin layers, let them absorb fully, , and have tried a myriad of different serum’s and sunscreens. It’s very frustrating. Thank you!
Elle, I love the way you explain all the details and reasons for those issues. My skin has improved a lot after I found you and watch your videos. Thank you so much! 🌹🥰💐❤️
Elle, your skin looks like glass even before you put anything on it. Simply gorgeous! So happy to hear your sweet girl is doing so much better❤️. You are such an amazing mother. What are your thoughts on the cosrx essence and their gel moisturizer? I understand I about the first step of a toner with both aha and bha as the first step and using a retinal. I have been using the cosrx essence for two years and I hope that you feel it’s a good one to use. Please let me know….. I also have their snail mucin, thoughts on using that twice a day?? What are the pros and cons to using that one from their line? Any negative research or experience in your line of work that snail mucin can produce lighter patches of pigment on the face that once foundation is applied enhances the lighter pigmented spots on the face? Also just wanted to throw it out there I have found the hourglass primer and I think it’s called Dr Jart primer really helps blur my pores. Thank you for all you do for us Elle!
Elle chérie! You are the best for explaining so clearly and intetesting to watch and listen about first the importance of skin care and the great tools in makeup, now I will try that for my pores on my nose...Merci! Can't wait for your next video 👌
These were fabulous tips Elle! My 57yr old fine lines and texture thank you so much 🙏❤️ I will definitely give these a whirl:) I’m all about the skincare so think I’m off to a good start ☺️. Have a fabulous weekend 💕 Xo Tammy 🇨🇦
I have tried the powder before foundation and it always looked so matte afterwards. I never thought to add a setting spray after! That is such a good tip😊❤
This was a great video! I am 62 with combo skin but very large pores. I've been watching and getting skincare tips for awhile but the powder over primer technique I can't wait to try. Thank you!!
I love this. I haven’t tried the powder and setting spray technique. I think I will try it out for our Christmas party. Looks like it will be long wearing.
Perfect timing for this tutorial. I'm writing my list of what I want to add to my skin care routine right now! It was fun, too, as you gave instructions I'd wonder "but what if I have dry skin?". Then you'd clarify what steps to take if we have dry, normal or oily skin. 😄 Thanks, Elle!
Love this video Elle!!! I do not struggle with Pores but at Age 44 those dang Fine lines won’t stop! I have the Tarte primer but I find it very thick even when I warm it up in my fingers for a long time. I am going to pick up the Elf one and see if I like that one better!!! 💕
Great technique for us oily peeps!!! About to stock up on niacinimide which has definitely helped my pores!!! Ordered the Maelove retinal for the first time! Excited to try it!
You have the best tips, always have. It was fun to see the side by side comparison. I am always testing things that way on myself. I don’t think I wear a full face of the same products unless I’m going out for the evening lol. The finish on the left (your right) is my favorite. So dewy and fresh 🌸 Just beautiful. Thanks Elle
What an amazing lesson. Thank you Elle. This address exactly what my issues are. Can't wait to for the skin care to start working and to try the makeup application techniques!
Thank you for sharing your skin care and makeup application knowledge with us. I always learn something new from you. Your tips have changed my skin in wonderful ways and my makeup has come a long way thanks to you. I really appreciate you Elle! I'm definitely going to use these techniques to hide the pores that are visible.
Thank you so much! That video was so informative! I’m 41 and starting to get fine lines, I’ve always struggled with pores and since having weight loss surgery and as I lose more weight pores are more noticeable. I’m so glad I found your channel! ❤️
Just learned a few things I’ve been doing wrong. I have dry skin. Makeup can look patchy if I don’t take care of my skin properly. A lot of great info right here. Just in time for the Holidays! Thank you Elle! Would love to see an update on your bedtime and morning skincare routines. Happy Holidays! 💋💋
Can you do a video or list what order you put all these products on, which ones to use and when. I need very black and white instructions. Step by step
Well I learned from Mrs Melissa about the powder going on first I don't think I have the right powder because I don't care for the way it looks I will try a different powder and see how that does but I like the idea of it holding on more
Today I found about you and your Chanel I’m so excited to watch all videos you have done. They are so much useful and I’m so grateful for that. Thank you so much for your effort
