Robin's 'success' ending in The Path. This occurs if you head off the path and encounter the 'wolf'.
These videos were all taken after collecting all 34 items; I'm assuming it's a bug that they say '0/3' at the end for items collected / rooms unlocked (in fact each character has between 7 and 12 items to find, so even the number '3' as the supposed total is weird) so I think this is the 'full' cinematic, but even if it's not, I really have no intention of replaying this game to get a 'better' (worse?) ending.

The game is about losing innocence, each girl facing it in their own way, depending on their age. I think Robin had to face death (maybe of a loved one), hence the fact that her wolf, the representation of evil, is in a graveyard. Think about it, the dead bird right in the middle, her playing with the dirt of the open grave BEFORE knowing what it meant.

I agree with you, because I think this is the order to play with each girl as if this was a movie of sorts: Scarlet - Follows the normal path; Carmen - Deviates from the path, actively searching her Wolf, but gets bored, and returns to the path with the help of the Girl in White. She later comments about this mysterious girl in private, getting Rose curious, as she believes the Girl to be a Spirit; Rose - Looks for the Girl in White, finds her, plays with her sometimes, procceeds to Grandma. Upon returning, she talks with Ginger about this Girl in White, leading Ginger to become infatuated with the Girl in White; Ginger - due to her infatuation, she refuses to stay on the path, eventually finding the Girl in Red, becoming the first victim; Robyn - goes look for Ginger, as all sisters believe Ginger to be at grandma's, finding the Girl in White, who leads her back to the Path to Grandma, where Robin discovers Ginger disappeared; Scarlet again - being the oldest, she goes look for her sister, forcing Ruby and Carmen to look after the younger ones. She looks everywhere, anf being distrustful of the Girl in White, she eventually finds the Fey Wolf, who convinces her to pause her search to play a little, rationalizing the music might attract Ginger to her. Scarlet becomes the second victim; Ruby - when Scarlet doesn't return, all sisters get worried, because this is very unlike their eldest. Ruby, in spite of her lack of commitment, is actually fond of the sisters she was left with, so she offers herself to go look for the sisters after getting info out of Rose. She finds the Girl in White a couple of times, and unspokenly, shares Rose's belief she might actually be a spirit, a devious one. She goes to Grandma's house, believing this to be a game of the girl, and the only way to find her missing sisters; Robin - not a good idea to stay at Grandma's house in this stressful time, as Robin sneaks out of the house to look for her sisters, uncaring to the danger. The stress of not finding them becomes so heavy, she tries to play with the Werewolf in order to distract herself. One more victim to bury; Carmen - at this point, the sisters are fully aware of the danger they're in. Ruby returns home unsuccessful, and with Carmen blaming Ruby for Robin's disappearance, and vice-versa. She decides it's time to take the fight against this mysterious enemy, and goes look for the woodcutter. This time, she's successful, but realizes too late he in on it with the Wolves; Ruby - only she and Rose are left now. She doesn't want to leave her alone, but she believes that at this point, it's hopeless to fight back, or find their sisters. The best they can do is run away now. She goes look for a means to escape, finding the Charming Wolf in the proccess. Needless to describe the result; Rose - she takes a page out of Ruby's book, and chooses self destruction over living without her sisters, who she felt were a part of her. She looks everywhere not for her sisters, but for what took them away, until she finally finds the lake/river. Amidst the fog, she believes to see something. A spirit, perhaps a reaper, and goes to it. The final Wolf. Probably the only one who's honest about their true nature as sentient storms. She gets her wish to go to her sisters when she's thrown out of her boat by the SUPPOSEDLY Cloud Wolf.

No, you succeed by learning a valuable life lesson. For robin, it was learning to be aware of the dangers of the world ( evident though the clues found in her story). She is also obsessed with animals and wants to ride them. So when she see's this wolf, we see it as a monster, see merely sees it as a play thing

The first girl you "succeed" with is the farthest away, and each subsequent completion starts closer. These were done in order of age, which is why Robin appears furthest from the house.

When it comes to Robin, I think it happened after all her big sisters' "accidents". Because when you see the white balloons, it feels like "hey welcome! You now, too, have lost your innocence"

It couldn't be anymore obvious, Robin's ending ultimately is premature death. By wolf, physical or metaphorical, I do believe it was maybe a brutal death given the scene in the graveyard, that grandma's house is trashed; the long hallway before the crib has a distinct glow to it, such as in the light some ppl believe you see during death. The fall into the open grave usually unsettles ppl because of the fear of death, of looking into the depths of darkness and fearing there's nothing beyond it.

"Mauled" essentially means attacked or injured. It's hard to describe exactly what it means, but it tends to imply that the attack was done by an animal or in an animalistic way, with repeated blows by parts of the attacker's body. So you can't really get mauled by a sword, but if someone punched you over and over then you could say you've been mauled.

I think this way: when she had birthday, someone important for her died (she lost baloon). She was on funeral [like flowers]. Maybe later she wanted to find this person and went to cementary...Or she was afraid of death [empty grave]. She met death - wolf. By few moments she was ruling it, but at last death won...

A very nice explaining. As for the wolf, I think it is the kid's trust. On the grandma's house or in the LJ she says she wants to hug everybody while not actually understanding that she's living in a cruel world with lots of hazards for such a young fellow. She doesn't seem to know why or in what way people die.

I agree with you there - it matches up to her ending: the first room has a crib (birth), the second room has a birthday party (ageing), and the third room is a grave (with the headstone as a bed) which she falls into. Her fear is growing up and eventually dying (at least that's my interpretation too), she even talks about death earlier in the game. The balloon could either represent innocence, time or both!

I just bought this game and I totally love it. Although its a hassle searching for the items with each character. I accidentally found Robin's wolf without meaning too the first time I ran off into the woods. I ran right by it though so I could get a chance to explore more, but no matter where I went I always ended up back at the Graveyard. Haha, I must have a horrible sense of direction.

I think at 6:52, it's just a shadow of her in the same pose as she was walking when she was walking to her grandmother's house. If you notice, when she gets up in the rain, her neck is ajar to the right, and it's reflected the same way in the shadow at 6:52. Not sure about the symbolism itself, but the shadow's not a result of any hanging or broken neck, just the shadow of her own dejected posture from when she was walking to the house.

Each character has three items to find unique to that character. Finding 4 or 5 flowers gives you a map tracker for one of those unique items. Each special item gives an extra freaky room in the house before the flashback ending. As for the regular items, I have no idea what they do.

I walked to the grandma's house, and circled it. I saw grandma through the window, she was laying on her bed. Then I entered the forest and it was a lot darker than normal. I guess nothing changed in the story, but, got it's a lot sinister now.

Robin's ending is definitely one of the scariest moments in this game. The surrealism of the bed as a gravestone and the clarity of the moonlight seal it for me. It's how a kid might see it in nightmare: You should be safe in your bed, but death upends that assumption, and you slide into your grave. For me, this isn't about her death, but a revelation about life's agonies--age, loss of virginity, childbirth, and finally death. Robin sees them lying ahead now, and in seeing, loses her innocence.

I lament for the future of the mankind. People fail so much when it comes to metaphors. Here goes my interpretation. No girl actually died or was raped in this game. People are sick for thinking so. Robin's wolf is easiest to guess: it's death. She was naive child who didn't knew about death. She tried to ride her wolf - she tried to fight death. Either she tried stay ignorant to the fact people can die or (this one I belive more) she tried to fight her fear for death, come to terms with it.

basically i think its the catch 22 that life really is...some of it sucks...some is scary ...sometimes you find good things ( some parts of the woods arent bad or "scary" ) ...but eventually you grow old and die ...thats my take on why the map always say this is your path .....and the title is called the path..we all end up in the same place but how we get there is the point

The items affect the endgame videos, appearing later in the house. The flower collecting, appart from giving the hint where to find tne next special room, gives nothing. TOT says it was done as a satіre to those mostly console-based games where they encourage you to arcade item collecting to receive bonuses. Here collecting 144 flowers leaves the player in embarassment, and that is meant to show that the very idea of foolish collecting of items in games is absurd and is used to extend the game

PART 2: Maybe her wolf is the less human like because thats how she came to picture her abuser after he raped her: As a monster; not even a normal, fluffy wolf that she seemed to like so much. And also, in this ending the cradle is upside down, like if she had been "thrown" off her childhood after an traumatic event, and forced to grow up (Due why theres a birthday party right after the craddle) And has anyone noticed that the scratch marks on the door belong to something with 5 fingers...?

Robin is naive. She learns about death and has to face the fact that everyone grows up and dies at one point in life, but she doesn't want to accept it. She doesn't want to grow up nor does she want anyone she loves to die.

This is what I think... Robin, being a young girl, thinks everything is fun, and that nothing bad could happen. Then she meets the wolf, and dosn't relise its dangerous, and so goes up to it and rides it. The wolf tries to get her off, but can't, so it attacks, and Robin either dies or gets injured and learns a lesson. Thats what this is about. OR its telling us not to send small girls into a forest that has wolfs in it

PART 3: Also, after she enconters her wolf, her hood is down; and its said that the red hood symbolises the hymen in the original fairy tale; perhaps that can be a methafor to her hymen being broken...? And the bloody bed... A bed is for sleeping, for comfort... But in that case, the bed is leaning forwards, hinting that whoever tried to lie on it would be throw into the grave right infront of it, as if a piece of her had died on a bed.

@TheLeoncyrus she supposed to go stright to her grandmother's house as they instructed her but if you gose playing around and wandering the woods and encounter " the wolf " she will worn out and fall unconscious in front of her G mother house so you need to get some sleep and that's where you need to get in the house i think she's was afraid of been asked " where have you been? " that's why she sees the house look scarry from the inside like how little kids think when they get into trouble.

Okay while she broke her neck, I do believe that the wolf probably caused her death somehow. Either by pushing her in or eating her, the reason why is because A) it is clear that the wolves are a malevolent force, and B) All the claw marks on her in those slide things.

Robin, Being a Child is More Innocent and Open to the World Around her Unlike her Older Sisters, My Guess is that That is the Reason She Can See her Wolf for What it Truly is ... Robin's Fear is Basically That She Doesn't Want to Die, as You walk Through the House you can See the Birthday Party Happening which Comes and Goes Once a Year ... and Eventually they aren't Special, you Just Accept them For What They are ... and Robin Falls into the Grave at The End, Which is What she Doesn't Want.

Well, looking at the image at 7:35 more so to me seems like physical abuse, not litteraly being eaten by a wolf. I think im leaning more towards the 'she went through abuse' theory here. I do believe that it is clearly possible Robin has come from an abusive family (her having so many siblings could mean the father could have constantly raped the mother), in turn forcing her to grow up well before her time and see the mean things that go on in the world. Just a thought xD

i agree with LetsPlayMaldeus, they could be dying or killed in a spiritual or mental way. such as the death of robin's childish naivety to death at the door of her own. robin might also have necrophobia, as she has a death themed path containing grave sites and a birthday party( referred to necrophibiacs as a step closer to death).

I think the house is meant to represent the different characters' lives. The different rooms represent major events in their lives, or their fears. The birthday may represent Robin's fear of growing up and the balloon she lost shows how she may lose her innocence as she gets older. Also, after finding a character's wolf, the house is destroyed. This may symbolise how each character's life (represented by the house) has been destroyed by their encounters with their wolf (their greatest fear).

As of recording these videos, all 34 items have been collected, though - the "basket" is fully complete (sans about 60 flowers, which I have no intention of getting). So theoretically, it should be as complete an ending as it's possible to get. Still says 0/3, though.

ther are many interpretations, but here is my take. first of thers a very important fact about robin, she looks & seems innocent, yet she likes wolves. but these are probably figurative, the figure of robin portrays as a mask of purity, & the wolf portrays the dark and twisted temptations that she enjoys, or wishes to experience. then upon riding the wolf (giving into the temptation to do the wrong thing) she gets carried away and the wolf (her temptation) acts as the end of her.

To answer your question more accurately, I bought and played the game out of morbid curiosity after reading a forum thread which extolled on its flaws, and I wanted to see it for myself. While I found it to be interesting, I didn't particularly find it to be as intellectually stimulating as many here do, and that's fine - I'm glad some of you folks enjoyed it. The videos were originally made for that very forum thread, so the folks who didn't buy the game could get in on the discussion.

I've read all of these comments here, and gained somewhat of an understanding of what her wolf symbolizes. However, I came up with a reason why her wolf is a...erm...wolf. Being 9 years old means your imagination goes wild. I don't think she would have a 16 year-old guy giving her cigarettes as a wolf, hence why she thought of the worst thing a 9 year-old can think of. A big, bad wolf.

@Oodoo974 That's a good theory o: My take on it was general abuse though. Hitting and stuff like that, it seemed like sexual abuse was more Carmen's wolf. Robin tried playing with the big, muscular figure (similar to, say, a dad?), it snapped at her in public, she went home wounded and got abused even worse there. ...If you'll excuse me, I need to go cry for the poor thing ;___;

@FunnyGirl4682 i think its moreso she had someone close to her die when she was little, and started to feel more empty. theres a few shots at the very end of the wolf eating her, tht could be her emptiness eating at her as she grows older. the room with the cake and presents had empty chairs with balloons on them, meaning she feels tht her life is empty even on her birthday, which is the biggest holiday for a kid. Also, when she met the wolf, there were bells playing like those at a church.

all the girls are one person and they resemble "grandma" this is her first stage of growing up I'm guessing a part of her "died" when she learned about death and she became a different person resulting in everyone "dieing" when they "die" part of the "grandma" "dies" but thats life when we grow up.

maybe its not about the characters but the plot... each girl does something dangerous or, to a grown up, stupid but the girl in white is their to lead you to the path and away from the wolf(symbolicly). but it also shows that theres a point where the girl in white cant help you and u made ur grave, so to speak and if u followed the path you would have lived.

No, I don't think that's what the game's creators had in mind, if that's what you're asking. However, I think the game is far too open ended. Also, I'm calling it a game because that's how it was advertised. The creators call it "art" but I don't see it that way. They may be using a game as a medium to create what they feel is artistic, but I feel that even so, it's still a game, or at least has the framework of one. You apparently liked this art project a lot more then I did.

game is certainly ..odd....my take on this is...you lose by taking the path straight grandmas because it represents leading a safe life...the sunny start is (childhood) grandmas house ( she is old its dark and weird ) = death or the end of your life...so if you go straight to it you lose because you havent "lived" ...the woods are weird and supposed to be scary..and this where the girls find their desires or things that intrigue them...and they die anyway

I think she was playing around with a wolf (Normal or demon its up to you) and she fell in a grave and broke her neck. (The wolf may or may not have eaten her in the end)

playhours. Also the rank is the same joke. It is impossible to get an A grade. Most computer games try to emphasize achieving results while here it says that it's not the result, but the process that really matters; to walk the forest and enjoy its poetry and not to go off running mindlessly from flower to flower. As for the special room counter, i think it is really a bug. The one they intentionally left unfixed, to complement the spoofy score screen.

(Embrace yourself, this is going to be long, lol) PART 1: This might sound odd and even sick, but I think Robin is the only one that suffered from sexual abuse. Her wolf is the most literal one, yet not completely; It is a werewolve, Werewolves are men with double lifes; They can have families and children at the day, but once the moon rises, they go out and slaughter anything in their way, and cant stop it, like a sickness... Just like a pedophile.

Joudas, you've done a great job with those videos and we're all most thankful to you. But your attitude puzzles me a bit=) You perceive the game as a glitching, ill-minded and overrated one, with pathetic, immoral goals and the very idea of the game absurd. Then what made you play the game, beat it, and spend a couple of hours making all those marvelous videos you posted here? if you find this game just as a low-rank experimental attempt to create art , then why bring it to masses?just curious
