How dare you call British reality TV "mediocre"? There are huge numbers of creative individuals, experts in their fields, who work tirelessly and with creative innovation to make every single reality show mind-numbingly sub-mediocre.
Yes, electronic music! I love the very first theme music, and there are so many great modern synthesizer virtual instruments for use today. But whether orchestral or electronic, don’t let the music tromp all over the terrific dialog and camera work.
The worst thing about the reboot, is the sexual content, because the hierarchy that create the show know very well that the majority of viewers and fans are children.
@@xander1756 I don’t recall there ever being any real ‘sexual content’ in the show to be honest (even Torchwood was ultimately fairly vanilla), although some of the ‘romance’ certainly irks many and feels out of place to fans of the original show. I think the show generally does a good job at presenting adult ideas in a way that won’t bother the kids too much, but it’s a risky business and can go wrong such as in the case of Death in Heaven.
I still prefer the original series especially the Tom Baker era to the modern stuff. I own three variations of the fourth Doctor outfit I wear for Halloween.
Really interesting and well written video. I watched all of Nu Who but stopped watching during the Whittaker second season, and never felt inclined to go back. It stopped being interesting scifi for me.
