The person was probably the problem and not the ex (i.e. lazy, no ambition, alcoholic and the the ex had their life together). Or the ex died.

The answers weren't all about the same person. They were answered by many individuals, and these were the top 100 answers. 🤯 1) Sex is no reason to stay in a relationship. 2) A joke shouldn't keep you in a relationship either. 3) If it's just their looks, you're staying for, you have already lost. 4) I can get hugs and kisses from family, friends, and even strangers. 5) Money is nice indeed, but not nice enough for any self-respecting person to stay with an asshole. 6) Some people don't like to be alone, so it's just another person being there that they miss, not the actual person themselves. 7) Don't stay in a relationship just to be around your partners family. 8) Learn to cook, if that's the only thing you miss. Even if they have all those things going for them, if they treat you like garbage, or sleep with other people behind your back, they probably aren't worth it. Don't stay in a relationship that isn't good for your mental or physical health, no matter what the superficial reasons are.

@@northernsnow6982 yeah well I've never had a EX because I've never had a GF or been married. At 59 that's not likely to change as I'm mainly a solitary person with a lot of anxiety issues.

If you're happy that's all that matters. If you want a girlfriend; there is someone out there for you.
