That used to happen ALL THE TIME in olden FAMILY FEUD days. They did something to stop that 30 years or so ago. I think they just don't have certain categories with BIG answers, or eschew the jumbo answer, like saying " besides Jesus, name someone born on Xmas," or whatever, lol! They just don't want one guy/gal to seal the deal anymore. Funny enough, in CELEBRITY FAMILY FEUD, where, like in all other celeb. Versions, it is MUCH, MUCH, easier, they don't win by themselves! How do they manage that, when they have easy, weasy questions that are too simple for the show regularly?; weird!
I saw one where the first person got over 200 points. The host (I think it was Richard Dawson) had everyone keep quiet, told the second person that the guest only got like 23 points, then gave them silly made up questions.
That's a bummer too, it would be great to see that happen on this version, I know it happened at least twice on Ray Comb's version and I think at least once on Dawson's Version
Actually, someone (I believe her name was Michelle?) could've won 200 points by herself if she guessed Ginger Ale instead of Gingerbread during Steve Harvey's time. Steve Harvey said that could've happened and it would've been a shocker.
I did like old days when the host made up questions if someone did get 200+ first time. There were three Stooges, what was the name of Curlys wife... Name a handsome game show host... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fj6MtXcUKRE.htmlsi=k1rNwKRtVGhfV5G0
Right. An Australian version of the show based your prize on the number of top answers the first player got. All five = playing for $100,000 ($66,000 in USD)
Steve: Snoop Dogg goes to live in a retirement home. He’ll probably teach all the other old folks there to do what? You said…you’re gonna go and get to it. "We’re gonna get up in and smoke some weed." Richa: I’m just saying. LOL 😄
@@DeniseSterling-k5u it's not was because the previous 7 days have been awful with a 0 each time and more losing than winning. Georgia Productions continuing to be bigger cheapskates when prize amounts do not change.

Okay, I definitely haven't seen a full episode of Family Feud in a long time, but I LOVE displaying the results of their guesses even when not needed and whether they were #1 or not.
I can see Snoop Dogg telling the old folks how to smoke weed and sipping on gin and juice. He will be saying old folks " Mind on my money! Money on your mind! Just lay back!" I can see vision it right now for sure!
"What you think Snoop Dog is going to teach others to do in retirement home?" Me: "Smoke a joint" Steve: "What are you doing, man? This is Family Feud, you can't say that here!" then proceeds to slap me with the question card...
on the UK version they give £10,000 for >200 points and triple to £30,000 for having all five #1 answers Surprised that a similar reward isn't given on the US version
That's it? 157 points? I thought she was going to hit 200 on her own. There have been a lot of families who have reached more than 157 points on the first round.
I played along and I said the #1 answer for the first four. My last answer was jelly. I would have had 193 points by myself. 😮 Not thinking I’m that smart, I’m thinking these questions had some very obvious answers. Look at how many people out of the 100 surveyed said one of the two answers given. You’re going to get big scores when there’s only a handful of answers.
Over 50 answering "Smoke Pot" or the like? That's when we know we're going to Hell. A video approximately ten years old had the question, "What gets passed around?"
