I feel you, I've moved to Mississauga 2 years ago. Me and my boyfriend are moving out in the next year and a half. Its not worth it, too expensive and you don't get much for it. Canada, Ontario is full of better, nicer, more affordable places to live in.
@@aaania30 yes!!! I'll rather move back to my home town of Tirana and invest in property and buissnesses while being close to family and friends. Misssissauga is great, but life is unessesarily expensive and inflated.
I have lived in Mississauga my whole life and yes the housing prices have gone insane but they have gone insane everywhere. The city is very safe and lots of free parking but the demographic has definitely changed since I was a kid, which is not a bad thing but it is definitely become very crowded. I love Mississauga but you definitely need a car to get around.
I moved to Mississauga from Nothern Ontario a year ago and I love it here. Here's some other things I'd add: -It's very close to the Pearson Airport -There are a ton of good paying factory jobs in the northern part of the city heading into Brampton -1 hour drive to Niagara Falls and bridge to USA Also, coming from Northern Ontario, the winters here are SO much more bearable than they are up north.
mississauga is all built around driving culture, if you don't drive, you'll have a horrible time. there's very little walkability, little nightlife, and the transit is just ok.
agreed, except the transit is probably the best in comparison with other ones ive experienced. although I drive now, during my younger years I bussed quite a bit, and busses never came late and maybe 1/100 busses wouldnt show, compared to other cities in the GTA, miway transit is definitely the best. nightlife is dead unless you're into bars around square one or port credit.
I am legally blind so dont drive. Lived here since 2005. And uber eats, insta cart and online banking did make life easy. Plus LTR is coming!! Most of my jobs has been in Toronto or far on the city. Its ok. Ppl live a tougher life. If you cant drive youbwill be ok.
Excellent video! We eat out a lot as we are foodies and enjoy various cuisines: Best Friend/Congee Queen for Cantonese, Thai Signature/Thai House 2 for amazing Thai food, Bar Catalina for Spanish food, Maranello's for delicious sandwiches, Port Credit Social House/Roc'n Doc's for music and Burger fare, Solstice/Piatto/Casalinga for fine Italian cuisine, Momji/Tomo/Hinote for Japanese fare and our Summer fav Texas Longhorn for patio Beer & Wings.
I love living here. It's got a relatively mild climate with long hot summers. It is very expensive but the city is very clean and has awesome shopping. Compared to States and Provinces in the prairie regions the winters are short and very mild, the chances of having a white Christmas are maybe 30%.
Hi, Moving2Canada 👋 !! Thanks, this is so interesting 👍. I have friends who live in Mississauga - Port Credit, and I like the ‘sound’ of the place 😃. I hope to visit this year ✈️. Greetings from Scotland 🏴 💕 🇨🇦. Cheers, Don 🙋♂️ !!
Live by City Centre and it’s funny to watch the crazyness of cars trying to park in Square One mall especially on the weekends, while I easily walk around it back home lol. The convenience 😌
Bombay Bhel & Bar B Q Tonite are most definitely two places to go to for North Indian cuisine when in Mississauga! Other than that there are tons of Hakka, Chinese, Thai, Mexican and Italian places as well as some great brunch spots on Lakeshore to try out. The list is truly endless.
Well Done research! I live in Mississauga for over 30 years, and it is no doubt a good place to live. If you like Chinese cuisine, my regular place to visit and take out is Chiuchow Man Chinese restaurant. It is located at the heart of Mississauga, Golden Square Centre where also has many other good place to eat.
I worked at the roses colour building for 27 years 😄😃 I love this city ./ in Mississauga there is 100 festivals around the year . Carassauga one of them .lots to talk about and show 🤨 you forgot to show The Living Art centre / the central library/ port credit park / the new train station/ The Sheridan college.
Not only is housing expensive but property taxes are ridiculously high when compared to the rest of the GTA. Nevertheless, its an amazing city and in the end, you get what you pay for.
I was born in North York Toronto, 80's child here. I live in Hamilton ON during the long Winter season the weather is usually colder in the bigger cities then where I live. But in the Spring, Summer, and beginning of Fall it's sometimes warmer then Hamilton. I don't think I could live in a big city, I can't stand being stuck in traffic stopping and going every 5 seconds or standstill I would lose my mind.
Mississauga is getting crowded since I moved here but just as long as you do popular outings on week days you can enjoy yourself without the chaos of crowds
Living in Mississauga for 12 years and love this city … so beautiful 😍 10 minutes drive close to lakeshore.. 5 minutes walk to square one mall and celebration square, too many beautiful high rises buildings.. many amazing restaurants and parks… so with large amenities life here is expensive..❤️😍🙏🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Good video, and the Indian Food is outstanding. Also worth pointing out about the UP Express, Toronto Pearson to Union Station in 20 minutes. One small point, isn't your shirt inside out? 😁😁
moved out of mississauga in 2019 after 28 years there. dont miss it at all. well, maybe a handful of restaurants and ethnic food stores. Surely dont miss stop signs every 10 sec, traffic lights every 30 sec. Traffic became horrendous, car insurance cost is outrages.
I have been living in Mississauga for last 20 yrs, have traveled all over the world to many cities.I find Mississauga is one of the best cities to stay.
Just moved out of Mississauga, for an opportunity to own a house. This guy made me feel nostalgic. Mississauga is a great place, it has it all, we’ll almost all.
What a great video on mississauga. Although it gives such a great marketing video of Mississauga - I must say that the neighboring cities are far better as Mississauga is extremely crowded. You will face long lines at the grocery stores, a lot of traffic on the streets, schools not as well equipped with resources, condos with high maintenance fees, etc. Transit within the city is not as good however the GO train is a great option but that only gives you access to downtown. As he mentioned job opportunities are really good as there are a lot of companies there, one needs to realize a lot of people from other communities also take up jobs in Mississauga which contributes to more difficulty in obtaining jobs as it's more competitive and it also contributes to more traffic. Overall it's a nice city but getting more crowded and I'm noticing it's not as clean as it used to be in the early 2000s. Other things about Mississauga is Square One mall which I would say is probably one of the best malls in the GTA.
@Salty C No it's not disgusting at all. It's a clean and great place to raise a family. It's just so incredibly boring. Toronto is also a beautiful city and has so much to offer. What do you find so disgusting about Mississauga?
Oh nice, I see that you were filming across the street from my apartment building... lol. Mississauga's an okay enough city to live in but can be quite boring. I always find myself going into Toronto proper to escape the monotony. The only nice areas are Port Credit and Streetsville, which you can get tired of visiting after awhile. Businesses close too early, no real nightlife. And no real job opportunities here, unless you're content working in a factory.
Mississauga and Brampton were once beautiful cities, great to grow up in the 60s 70s and 80s. It has changed so much I don't recognize it. We moved 10 years ago because we felt disconnected. Both cities are basacially sh!tholes. Shame how horrible it's become.
You did a great job!!. I love living here! Its been 16 years. But there better restaurabrs!! Bombay Bhel, Hakka Chili, Calcutta Club, Nirvana, Thai Signature, Mo Thai, Shawana Bhavana, Earls at SQ1, Aioli, Lahori Adda, Karahi Boys!! Lots of Phos and Authentic Chinese places! East Tea Can!!!
@@Moving2Canadainfo Lol! Not that there's anything wrong with unicorns. More related comment, when did Burlington become part of the GTA? Grew up in Dundas here and Burlington was considered a Hamilton suburb.
