One important thing to add is to include your sli.do number on your visual branding, as well as presentation material, either virtual or in-person events. Also important to add it to the meeting invite. This way participants can join in at any time, even if they joined the meeting late, they will still be able to join in! By adding it to your branding you are promoting your online dialogue throughout your event. As a reminder to join the dialogue, adding a transitional visual slide to your presentation with simple instructions throughout your presentation.

Hi Danielle, Those are excellent points. Thank you for sharing. Helping participants to join Slido as easily as possible is a springboard to great interaction.

Our company uses Slido for Q&A sessions but we frequently see questions from employees just disappear. I assume there must be some sort of facility to do this behind the scenes?

Hello there! Yes, it sounds like the Slido administrators are making use of Moderation, which lets them approve or dissmiss questions from the audience. The larger the event, the bigger the need to filter out less-than-appropriate or off-topic questions. I hope this was helpful!

@@Slido Thankyou for clarifying. One persons filtering out is another's censorship.

@@aib0160 The key to that is the "less than appropriate or off topic" phrase. To keep the meeting and the Q&A quickly it is needed, because there is "that one person" in every crowd. That is not censorship

@@mikehelland6729 Yes it is censorship when the question is about the actions or direction the company is taking. We live in a world whereby for many your op[inion is only allowed when its the right one. This is how those non-democracies we see around the world function and big corporations run in the same way with propaganda and BS, whilst silencing opposing voices.

@@aib0160 Sounds more like you have a beef with your company or the world in general. I am well aware of how censorship works. Sounds like you need to speak with your supervisors and not beat a drum here. Wrong platform

Please spellcheck your captions. I saw at least 10 places where it typed something other than what the presenter said.

Hi Mary! Thanks for the tip. Turns out that the subtitles had been generated automatically and contained a lot of mistakes, but it's all fixed now, thanks to you! :)
