Yes it was Midrash by Rashi on the Book of Genesis, specifically Gen 29:11 where he relates that when Ya'akov escaped from Esau and fled to his uncle Laban in Haran that Esau sent Eliphaz to pursue and kill Jacob, his uncle, who was ad been his Rabbi (Torah teacher) also. When they met, Jacob implored Eliphaz not to kill him, but Eliphaz challenged that he had his father's instructions to fulfill. Jacob gave everything he had with him to Eliphaz and said, ”Take what I have, for a poor man is counted as dead." Eliphaz was satisfied and left his uncle and rabbi poor, but still alive. weather or not you can trace your lineage back through one or more of the tribes of Israel you can be "grafted in" to Israel (Rom. 11) by entering into covenant with the One true Creator and God of Israel and adopting the Torah and observing the Holy Days. Exodus 31:13 says, "You must observe My Sabbaths. This is the sign between Me and My people for the generations to come, so you may know that I am YHVH, who makes you holy." Once grafted in to Israel you must think and live as God has called Israel to live in holiness and no longer live or think of yourself as a gentile. @Tamera Lewis I don't know where you did you legal scholarship, but you're mistaken about who the Torah, aka the Law of Nature and Nature's God, the Natural Law, Divine Will, The Law of YHWH, applies to. ALL unalienable and inalienable rights come out of God's Torah, not man's civil laws he makes for himself as a god. IF we are not operating under the Torah then we lose access to those rights. The civil law of man only legislates civil right imitations which are regulated, controlled and often licensed. Jeremiah 31:33: "But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law (TORAH) in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people."

@Tamera Lewis I'm only talking about the Torah. I don't care about the noahide laws. That's a man made construction. There is just two forms of Law of earth. YHWH's Torah, aka: natural law, the Law of Nature and Nature's God, Divine Will, the Law of God, etc. and Man's civil law (jurisdictions of law created by men, of which the Noahide laws fall into. They are a human made conception. All civil law works to ensnare people by their own consent via their application, participation and receipt of benefits as corporate members of the civil law body politic. All body politics (the State of California, the State of Israel, the State of Great Britain, the State of France, etc.), whether they are city-states, nation-states or federation-states, have their own unique form of man-made law which was created by the "gods many" (sovereign powers, law makers) of those body politics. YHWH's nation is no different, but YHWH is the Law Maker and Sovereign Power, and those people that are members of His body politic do not make Law, He already made the Law for His people. His people just have to obey it, preserve it, pass it on, teach it to their children, etc. Just like civilians do with their own nation's civil laws. As the Satanic One World Civil Law body politic forms I am sure that there will be lot of those civil laws that most civilians are not going to want to obey, and if that is so, then they need to start legally and lawfully withdrawing from the corporate membership in civil law body politics (Come out of her my people...). Always remember its a free will choice as to what body politic you seek to be a member of. (Choose you this day whom you're going to serve....)

@Tamera Lewis There's a two fold problem with your premise. First: In persona jurisdiction. How does this foreign body get inpersona jurisdiction over your legal fiction called a "Person"? The Messiah challenged the inpersona jurisdiction of Rome to try him, with the legal argument, "My kingdom is not of this (roman) world (kosmos: apt and harmonious arrangement, constitution, order, government. In other words Yahshua's government, the Kingdom of God/Heaven, has NO contracts/treaties/covenants, etc. with Rome or its king therefore Rome has NO JURISDICTION to put Him on trial) and Pilate agreed, and sent him off to Herod Anitpas. But we know how that ended in a political assasination in order to appease those that had SWORN oaths of allegiance to Rome and its king, which was the Sanhedrin, who were vassals of Rome, with the statement, "we have no king but Caesar". The Second problem is a compliment to the First issue. Christians are civilians. They like the Sanhedrin at the time of Christ, have taken oaths of allegiance to many civil law gods, and their contracts with their government that creates a legal PARENS PATRIAE relationship does make their "Person" (a civil law legal fiction) subject to the jurisdiction of the civil law. In other words, Christians today would NOT be able to make the same legal challenge to "Rome's" jurisdiction that Yahshua did at His arraignment before Pilate. Christians are legally bound to their civil law gods many. So if a "Christian" wants to stand firmly on the ROCK they must get their legal ducks in a row in order for the Spirit to lead them into what to say when they are dragged into a foreign court, and that includes, but is not limited to, "coming out of her" (the State contracts that bind the people to that civil law, and to keep the LAW of their true KING, as any loyal, faithful, obedient subject of any king does willingly, faithfully and righteously.

@Tamera Lewis But I will say that I removed myself legally and lawful from all the quasi adhesion contracts many years ago and the government at all levels leaves me alone. And they've dragged me into their civil courts, but once I am at the arraignment they let me go and drop the charges since I'm "not a person entitled" who's contractually bound. Which means I don't get any of the benefits, privileges, franchises, licenses, permits, subsidies, bailouts, entitlements, pensions, etc. that bound members can apply for. But you're correct, there will come a day, possibly, He said that even in the Tribulation that there will be some of His saints that do NOT suffer, but some will be martyred for the cause and to help others escape. But I like my legal standing as a lawful denizen a lot more than that of "citizen", especially a "citizen' under the legal doctrine of PARENS PATRIAE (civil government as Father, which is where 99.99% of so called Christians are legally).
