I’ve been listening to your videos every morning as I get dressed for the day. Last night as I was brushing my teeth, I didn’t use my electric toothbrush because I was tired and I had that thought I don’t have two minutes. And when you made the comment about not using your electric toothbrush, because you could do it faster with a manual toothbrush that really hit home! I need to reevaluate.

#4 Living somebody else's life, trying to please other people all the time. Huge, especially for women. Be polite, have empathy, but trying to keep everybody else happy is simply impossible. It sets up a dynamic of constantly falling short, frustration, backlash... At best you wind up only relating to your best friend because they are just like you. Sharing the same box. The theme behind this helpful list is: Until you take care of your needs, you can't be much good to anybody else, your family, friends, job. As an outsider I simply resisted anything I thought was imposed, conforming, based on fear. I didn't drink, drug, eat crap. I exercised, loathed small talk, refused to conform to the expectations of a culture that was rapidly become financially strapped, obese, fearful, prejudiced... I'm in my 60s, fit & healthy, financially very secure, sailed across an ocean, climbed mountains, travel for months, have read thousands of books. Have the courage to live your best life. We only have one.

Hi Dr Sarah! U are spot on saying "being in a rush" makes u stressed! Just listening to this tonight, I have methodically done a few chores to reset my home. That feels much more productive, just plodding along slowly & thoughtful. Thank you for encouraging us & inspiring us! 💜

Yes, doing a bit of a tidying daily is so much better/saner than doing it all on a ‘deep cleaning day’. ❤❤❤
