Yeah 💯! Nothing scarier than looking down a steep trail knowing you have to ride down it 🤩.

One valuable lesson, that only comes with experience/practice is to learn to trust your bike. Even more budget end mtbs are incredibly capable now. I good rider doesn't so much dominate or control their bike in awkward situations, they understand what it is capable of and allow it to do that under their guidance. "Zen and the Art of not quite falling off while riding improbable trails" 😁

The Wrekin is my local it’s the steepest trails I’ve ever tried to ride and I’m struggling to ride the majority of the trails up there! I’m going to try some of these tips 👍

I wish I had seen this earlier as I attempted a steep section of trail earlier and fell of and started sliding on my arse 👌👍😂

How do you step off the back of the bike to avoid going over the front if you have clips?

Twist the foot and abandon😂 I rode with flats on the steep stuff for quite a while until it became second nature to twist the heels to release the foot. It can be tricky
