I love wearing my Ft. Belvedere linen pocket squares. The quality is great and they stay in place all day long. I do cut the green tag off of them, but when people ask where I got my pocket squares, I always point them to your website (I also have your white boutonniere too). Great video!
Well done, Sven! When I worked at the Hotel Vierjahreszeiten in Hamburg in the 1980s, all of us who worked at the front desk had to do your "pinch" method and we had to line up to make sure we had did it right. Thanks for taking me down memory lane again....cheers!
Thanks. Wore my 3piece charcoal Grey suit first time today and did the I think it's called plume. Was a bit large for this, but I'm learning. This video will help
I really like all of your videos, I have learned soooo much.... and I love me some Saxophone....... but that theme song reminds me of finger nails on a chalk board. Keep up the awesome work!!!!
I know what handkerchiefs are used for but I will watch a movie and see someone gentlemanly hand their handkerchief to someone crying and Im sitting there thinking YOUR GETTING YOUR PIECE OF FASHION NASTY WITH TEARS AND SNOT WHAT ARE YOU DOIIING
I don't know why but I find it amusing that you gave yourself a tick every time you showed us a fold. I generally assumed that you'd be showing us the correct method each time you introduce it haha
I have to confess that I made frequent use of the stair fold when I first started wearing pocket squares, going so far as to fixing them permanently in shape using safety pins - never again! I usually wear linen pocket squares with a tv or triangle fold, I'm looking forward to trying out the shell fold with silk.
Would it be possible for you to do a review of the LG Styler or another type of steam closet? I am interested in wheter Gentleman's Gazette would recommend it
Best way as Prince of Wales. But do'nt know exactly how can make it so perfect but whithout seeing it exactly perfect. Believe is one you show but do not which one as you do it so quickly or don't know how you can see it repeat without going throuhg all of the different style. And also like the completly straight one without seen andy edges.
Meu terno tem o bolso bem ralo... sem profundidade nenhuma; não dá pra colocar o lenço nele. O que você recomenda nesse caso? Tem como eu pedir pra fzer um bolso?
The tags drive me a little crazy. I understand that they need to be along the edge. Have you considered having the tag on the edge but not in the corner. That would help me. Thanks
most human males gouge out their tear ducts as children, so they can't physically cry. The pocket square evolved as a way for human males to attract a mate by showing a potential "sensitive side" which was believed to be more attractive to the females of their species. At least that's what I remember from my textbooks in beetle school.
I just bought a pocket square from fort Belvedere for my tuxedo and had a question regarding shoes ,,,I’m looking for a quality wholecut patent oxford that won’t break the bank I probably won’t be wearing them much but do not want cheap ones either . Any suggestions? Ace marks ,shoepassion?
Year late and unsure if this is relevant, but as a college student budget is very low for me. I research brands and what they do different from one another THEN I go to thrift stores in well off areas. A couple pairs (Bostonian impressions and dockers) and 3 NICE shirts for a total around 42 bucks and change!
Do I own any pocket squares? No. Does my jacket look more fabulous after practicing these folds with a paper tissue? Absolutely! Will I go out like this? Maybe (absolutely not)
I once bought a 1999 Ritzenhoff champagne glass which came with a cotton square with Empire State Buildings in a solar look in it and because traditional looks, such as Scallop and Rose didn't give enough yellow and black (the square is mostly white except for the middle, which is black and yellow), so I invented my own; the Tavastian Parachute. Here's how you do it. 1. Contrary to the Rose, you don't fold the corners to the middle, you fold them halfway from that, so only the edges are folded while making an X-shape. 2. Take hold of the tips of the corners and form the square itself into a gentle ball with the square's outside on the visible part, like the look of a tortoise shell. It should have a hooded look with the outer printed images visible. 3. Put it into your pocket with the tips facing downwards and the hood visible upwards on your pocket. Remember to gently lift it a bit, so it can have a bit of a ruffled and open parachute-like look.
Hello. One question. Is it ok to use a white pocket square and a blue shirt? I 've listen diferents opinions on that. Thanks and congratulations for the channel.
